Did ‘The Bachelorette’ Just Hint Clare Crawley Gets a Happy Ending? The Latest Promo Has Fans Spinning
Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette is coming soon, and the promos have officially amped it up a notch. On Sept. 7, The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever! aired Juan Pablo Galavis’ episode. So of course, fans got to relive Crawley’s first season within the franchise. Then throughout the “best-of” special, ABC dropped a new trailer possibly teasing Crawley’s future on The Bachelorette.
‘The Bachelorette’ Season 16 promo highlights Clare Crawley’s Bachelor Nation journey
As you may know, Crawley appeared on two spinoffs after ditching Galavis on The Bachelor. She went on Bachelor in Paradise Season 1. But she left the show after a few weeks. Then in 2018, Crawley returned for Bachelor Winter Games where she met and fell for Benoit Beauséjour-Savard. The couple got engaged during the “Tell All” aftershow. Though they broke up a few months later.
The latest Bachelorette Season 16 promo kicked off with multiple scenes of Crawley’s heartbreak. But the trailer quickly shifted to the Sacramento hairstylist’s resilience and her first night with the new cast.
“Clare’s journey from Paradise, Winter Games, and The Bachelor didn’t have a happy ending,” the narrator said in the preview. “Let’s ‘Clare’ that up right now.”
Then as joyous shots of the new bachelorette flashed by, the narrator questioned whether Crawley will receive her happy ending. This was immediately followed by the 39-year-old giving her night one toast.
“I see my husband in this room,” Crawley said with a smile.

Whether or not there’s a happy ending on The Bachelorette Season 16, it seems many fans — and Bachelor Nation alums — believe Crawley will find what she’s looking for on the show. Then on The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever! on Sept. 7, Crawley expressed her excitement prior to filming.
“As I’m sitting here, there’s excitement, there’s possibility for the future, there’s so many positive things in my mind right now,” Crawley told host Chris Harrison. “I’m not anxious at all about this. I’m excited for this time because I know from where I was to where I am now … I have prepared so much for this moment.”
She continued, “Meeting the man of my dreams — I could not be more ready for this.”

What happened to Clare Crawley while filming ‘The Bachelorette’ Season 16?
When Crawley started filming The Bachelorette in July 2020, Bachelor Nation fans didn’t expect the new season to become the most dramatic ever. And yet, here we are. In early August, multiple publications revealed Crawley would be replaced by Tayshia Adams as the season 16 lead. The reason? Apparently, Crawley fell in love with one of her contestants.
“The producers have told her that the season will still lead with Clare and her short-lived journey, and will show Clare falling in love with one of her suitors,” a source told E! News. “Clare will then conclude her journey and announce that Tayshia is the lead.”
Meanwhile, Life & Style Magazine claimed Crawley fell for former NFL player Dale Moss. The publication also reported Crawley and Moss are now engaged.
For now, Bachelor Nation viewers must wait and see whether Crawley truly receives her happy ending on The Bachelorette. The new season begins on Tuesday, Oct. 13. So stay tuned.
