‘The Bachelorette’: Dale Moss Dedicates Instagram Story to His Mom Ahead of Season 16 Premiere
The Bachelorette Season 16 premiere kicks off tonight, Oct. 13. So naturally, all of Clare Crawley’s contestants are under a microscope, including Dale Moss. Multiple promos ahead of the new season suggest Dale makes a big impression on our latest lead. So how is the 31-year-old spending his time ahead of the big premiere? Dale recently shared a sweet Instagram Story dedicated to his mom.
Who is Dale Moss from Clare Crawley’s season of ‘The Bachelorette’?
According to Dale’s Instagram bio, he is an NFL athlete turned model and host. He’s also an ambassador for The Special Olympics. Meanwhile, Dale’s Bachelorette profile on ABC.com notes the reality star is from the small town of Brandon, South Dakota. But he has “big dreams of making an impact on the world.”
After four years as a wide receiver for the NFL, Dale moved to New York. Now, he consults for sports wellness and lifestyle brands. But ultimately, it seems Dale wants to find a partner to share his life with.
“Dale is looking for a woman who wants him but doesn’t need him and says that nothing turns him on more than an independent woman with strong convictions,” his bio reads. “When Dale is feeling passionate, he doesn’t like to hold back and is looking for a woman who won’t be turned off by his intensity.”
Then when Chris Harrison introduced Crawley’s cast on Sept. 29, the host hinted teased Dale’s impact when he arrives on The Bachelorette set.
“It’s safe to say Dale really leaves his mark early on this season,” Harrison said. “It’s safe to say I’ve never seen someone leave a bigger impression. Stay tuned.”
Dale Moss shares an Instagram Story about his mom before ‘The Bachelorette’ Season 16 premiere
Almost a day before The Bachelorette Season 16 premiere, Dale shared an emotional Instagram Story dedicated to his mother.
“As your son, all I ever wanted was to make you proud,” Dale wrote on Instagram and Twitter. “I love you. I miss you. This one’s for you mom.” Then 31-year-old ended the message with a rose emoji, possibly signifying his appearance on The Bachelor franchise.
Dale’s Bachelorette profile reveals his mom “passed away at a young age.” However, she taught him to follow his dreams. Then in an interview with Forbes from February 2019, Dale opened up about the women who shaped his life, which includes his mother and his four sisters.
“To this day, my sisters and my mother have shaped me into the man I am,” he said at the time. “I’ve always had strong, powerful women in my life and they’ve helped me in every aspect. They’re part of my team, my core and that’s definitely what keeps me grounded.”

What happens to Dale Moss and Clare Crawley on ‘The Bachelorette’?
Whether or not Dale’s focus on family influences Crawley on The Bachelorette, it certainly seems the couple will hit it off. As mentioned, recent promos have highlighted the spark forming between Dale and the new bachelorette. But do they end up together? Maybe.
In August, Crawley reportedly left The Bachelorette because she fell in love with one of her contestants. Meanwhile, Tayshia Adams was allegedly brought in to become the new bachelorette. Life & Style Magazine also claimed Crawley left the show for Dale, and the two got engaged.
That said, Harrison keeps indicating the fans won’t know all the details until The Bachelorette Season 16 airs. So it looks like we’ll just have to wait and see what happens moving forward.
