‘The Bachelorette’: Tayshia Adams Says She’s ‘Happy’ After Filming the Show
The Bachelorette Season 16 is just getting started with Tayshia Adams as the new lead — and of course, it’s already looking pretty dramatic. In the Nov. 5 episode, Adams arrived at the La Quinta Resort & Club to potentially meet her future husband. But will the ABC reality series deliver another love story like Clare Crawley and Dale Moss? Adams recently opened up about her Bachelorette journey and how she’s feeling right now.

In The Bachelorette Season 16 Episode 4, Crawley put it all on the line for Moss. The Sacramento hairdresser fell in love with her frontrunner. So she let go of the other men to be with Moss. Luckily, he felt the same way. Then Crawley and Moss got engaged. They’re still together today.
Meanwhile, Adams was brought in to replace Crawley as The Bachelorette lead. The Bachelor in Paradise alum and Chris Harrison wondered whether the remaining contestants would accept her after what happened. But even so, Adams was ready for her adventure to begin.
“I feel like this is the right moment in time,” Adams said. “I wouldn’t be standing here if it wasn’t mean to be. That’s what I prayed for, and here I am. I’m so ready.”

In an interview with USA Today published on Nov. 9, Adams teased her Bachelorette season, hinting her journey wouldn’t be easy. But ultimately, the 30-year-old promised her season would be all about love.
“I don’t want to disappoint. So there’s still some twists and turns,” Adams said. “There’s a lot of drama. You see happiness, you see sadness, you see love more than anything. You see me really diving into relationships. It’s going to be pretty juicy.”
Meanwhile, when speaking with Glamour, Adams gushed over her cast, noting there are multiple contestants viewers should look out for.
“You’ll finally see the amazing men that were on these last four episodes that you probably didn’t see at all,” Adams said. “And I cannot wait for you guys to see how much depth and love these guys have to give and how funny they are and how special they make me feel.”
She continued, “There’s some drama, obviously. They go at it a little bit. But you’re just going to see good, amazing, organic relationships start to form. And there’s multiple relationships that I have that are really, really memorable.”

Of course, Bachelor Nation fans will have to see how Adams’ Bachelorette journey unfolds on-screen. But in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the lead revealed she fell in love with “way more” suitors than she expected.
“I didn’t know it was possible to fall in love with multiple people. But when you just really lean into the journey and really be vulnerable, you never know what can happen,” Adams said. “And it happened to me.”
The current bachelorette also played it coy when asked whether she was in love or engaged. “Possibly,” she said. However, Adams admitted she said “I love you” more than once. She also confirmed she’s happy now, especially since she can finally say she’s the new lead.
Then in the above interview with Glamour, Adams echoed her remarks, indicating she is happy after The Bachelorette. “I am happy,” she said. “It could be because I can finally say I’m the bachelorette. It’s been a while until I’d be able to say that, so yeah, I’m a happy girl.”
Adams also shared The Bachelorette experience was worth the time. “I got out of the journey what I wanted,” she said. “[I wanted] to grow and be vulnerable and to learn.”
Whatever happens to Adams on The Bachelorette, it certainly seems the journey will be worth the wait. So get ready. New episodes air Tuesdays on ABC.
