‘The Bachelorette’: Tayshia Adams Doesn’t Regret Telling Zac Clark She Was ‘Falling in Love’
The Bachelorette Season 16 fans may have a difficult time determining Tayshia Adams’ frontrunner, but Zac Clark — aka Zac C. — has proven himself to be a strong contender. For the past few weeks, viewers watch the couple connect on a different level. Then in the Dec. 8 episode, Adams told Zac C. she was falling in love with him. So how does the lead feel about the heartwarming comment now that she’s done filming? The bachelorette doesn’t regret saying it.
Tayshia Adams and Zac Clark’s journey on ‘The Bachelorette’ Season 16
After Adams replaced Clare Crawley as The Bachelorette Season 16 lead, the remaining cast members started to open up. Many suitors — such as Zac C. — began to receive more screentime and quality time with the bachelorette. Then as time went on, viewers watched as Zac C. slowly came out of his shell with Adams. He also delved deep into his past during a one-on-one date, and it truly solidified him as a clear frontrunner.
During the group date on The Bachelorette Season 16 Episode 9, Adams had her cast members take a lie detector test. Then when Zac C. was asked whether he could see himself falling in love with Adams, he admitted it “might’ve already happened.” And at the evening portion, Zac C. told Adams how he was feeling directly.
“I am falling for you,” Zac C. said, noting he wished he told her in person instead of the group date. “I wish I would’ve told you in a more intimate setting.”
Meanwhile, Adams reciprocated Zac C.’s feelings. “When you said that, I wanted to reach over and grab you because I’m falling in love with you, too.”

Following The Bachelorette episode on Dec. 8, Adams went on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Naturally, the lead was grilled about her season. But when Adams was asked about her “falling in love” comment about Zac C., the 30-year-old confidently explained why she said it, even if she’s technically not supposed to at this point in the game.
“You know, I did do something that usually you’re not supposed to kind of do, just because you don’t want to say it to too many people,” Adams said. “ But at the same time, I’m there to find my person. So if that’s what I’m feeling, then I felt like, why not say it?”
She continued, “But I will say after I did tell him, I kind of just looked at my producers like, ‘Whoops. Maybe I shouldn’t have done that.’ But whatever. It felt right.”
Tayshia Adams falls in love with multiple men on ‘The Bachelorette’ Season 16
For now, Bachelorette fans will just have to wait and see what happens to Adams and Zac C. moving forward. But whatever comes next, it seems Adams falls in love with more than one person on her journey.
“I didn’t know it was possible to fall in love with multiple people,” Adams told Entertainment Tonight in November 2020. “But when you just really lean into the journey and really be vulnerable, you never know what can happen. And it happened to me.”
That said, it’s possible this will lead to some major drama on The Bachelorette Season 16. When speaking with Us Weekly, host Chris Harrison revealed there’s a lot of love going around by the finale. But even so, he questioned whether Adams will end the show with heartbreak.
“Look, she is falling in love. These men are in love. But are they all willing to go where she wants this to go? Are they willing to take that last step?” Harrison said. “And maybe those previews show you, it’s not gonna end well.”
