There’s a new Tyler C. when The Bachelorette returns to ABC with Clare Crawley’s season. But it seems the contestant is a far cry from Tyler Cameron, the fan-favorite of Hannah Brown’s journey. So who is Tyler Cottrill from The Bachelorette Season 16? Here’s everything you need to know.
Who is Tyler Cottrill from Clare Crawley’s season of ‘The Bachelorette’?
Tyler C. is a 27-year-old lawyer from Morgantown, West Virginia. According to his Bachelorette bio, Tyler C. wasn’t exactly much of a social butterfly, as he grew up in a small town. But things have changed. His profile describes him as a “businessman by day and cowboy by night.” And now, Tyler C. is looking for his perfect match.
“His parents have been a great example of what a true marriage is and he hopes to one day have a relationship as solid as theirs,” his profile reads. “Tyler C. is looking to find someone who will stand by his side through the good and bad, and while he admits that he’s a picky guy, he’s never been more ready to leave bachelorhood behind.”
Meanwhile, Bachelor Nation fans can find Tyler C.’s Instagram under the handle @tkcowboy_. His bio also says he was a former professional boxer.
Chris Harrison says Tyler C. will start some drama in ‘The Bachelorette’ Season 16 premiere
When Tyler C. from The Bachelorette Season 16 was introduced to the world, Bachelor Nation fans immediately took notice of the name. The title once belonged to one of Brown’s suitors. Then recently, Cameron revealed the new Tyler C. had his support.
“I got someone to root for now,” Cameron told Us Weekly. “I’m pulling for him. I’m excited for him.”
Meanwhile, Chris Harrison was not lost on the name when he introduced the cast of Crawley’s season on Sept. 29. But even so, the host compared Tyler C. to actor Matthew McConaughey.
“Kind of that laid-back southern charm lawyer,” Harrison said. “All right. All right. All right.”
Then Harrison hinted Tyler C. will bring up some drama early in the season.
“Tyler didn’t waste any time at all getting into the drama. He comes into the very first night with a little dirt on one of the other guys and he’s not afraid to stir it up,” he said. “He is a good debater, he is a lawyer, and he is ready to fight this case.”
Of course, we already know there’s some drama in The Bachelorette premiere. In an early promo, Crawley tells producers, “Drama this soon is a little bit crazy.” Then according to a press release courtesy of ABC, a cast member drops a “shocking secret” about another contestant, and it disrupts the first night.
“Clare is impressed with all of the men,” the release says of the premiere. “Their energy is infectious and she is confident that her husband is in the room. With the competition already at a fever pitch, one man reveals a shocking secret about one of his rivals and the dispute pulls Clare’s focus away from the other men. Who will get a ticket home as a result?”
Given Harrison’s comments, it certainly seems like Tyler C. is the man who delivers the secret to Crawley. But, Bachelor Nation fans will just have to wait and see what happens in the Oct. 13 premiere.
