Long before The Bachelorette Season 17 premiere on June 7, ABC teased a fun new mystery surrounding limo night. As always, Katie Thurston’s upcoming journey will kick off with some entertaining entrances. But ever since the network dropped the first Bachelorette promo trailer, many fans have been wondering who is in the box. So here are Reality Steve’s spoilers and what Katie revealed about who’s inside.

‘The Bachelorette’ Season 17 premiere includes a man in a giant box
When The Bachelorette Season 17 promos confirmed the new cast for Katie’s journey, ABC teased a mysterious contestant who arrived in a box. The network highlighted the present in multiple previews. However, the identity of the man inside has yet to be revealed and the box’s Bachelorette bio is simply filled with a bunch of question marks.
That said, The Bachelorette team hinted how Katie will react to the box in a “meet the cast” teaser. Midway through the preview, the next lead approaches the box with caution. Then suddenly, it speaks.
“Katie, it’s so nice to finally meet you,” the box says.
Reality Steve’s spoilers claim James Bonsall is the ‘Bachelorette’ cast member in the box
In May 2021, Bachelor Nation spoiler king Reality Steve revealed who was inside the box on night one.
“The guy who shows up on Katie’s season in the box on night one is James Bonsall,” the blogger wrote on Twitter.
Meanwhile, Reality Steve shared a few details about James, who was in the original Bachelorette cast list on Facebook. The 30-year-old is from New York. However, James’ Instagram bio says he currently resides in San Diego.
Katie Thurston seemingly confirms who is inside the box in ‘The Bachelorette’ premiere
Ahead of The Bachelorette Season 17 premiere on June 7, Katie seemingly confirmed James is the contestant inside the box.
“James committed to the box,” Katie told Extra. “I don’t know what to tell you! I was impressed by his commitment to his entry, for sure.”
Meanwhile, Kaitlyn Bristowe, who will co-host Katie’s Bachelorette season alongside Tayshia Adams, shared a few behind-the-scenes details about the box.
“There’s a guy in a box. I don’t know if we even get to figure out who that is by the rose ceremony,” the former lead said on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast.
Then in the May 27 episode of the Click Bait podcast, Tayshia hinted that the big reveal will be “worth the wait,” along with the rest of the Bachelorette premiere.
“It was really fun watching [Katie’s] first night go down because you see those immediate first reactions for every single individual,” Tayshia said. “I’m telling you, it’s gonna get good!”
The Bachelorette Season 17 starts June 7, 2021.
