‘Batwoman’ Season 2 Deleted Scene: Alice Wants to Save Kate
The CW‘s Batwoman Season 2 began with the disappearance of Kate Kane. From there, a new hero, Ryan Wilder, picks up the mantle of Gotham City’s protector. Although Wilder makes for a great Batwoman, the other characters still miss Kate, including her sister, Alice.
It has been a few months since the season 2 finale aired, but fans can still look forward to unreleased content from the season. Warner Bros released Batwoman: The Complete Second Season on Sept. 21 on Blu-ray and DVD, and it features many deleted scenes. One of them shows Alice’s enthusiasm for finding Kate.
What happened to Kate in ‘Batwoman’ Season 2?
As mentioned previously, Kate went missing in the first episode of season 2. Her plane crashed, and she was assumed dead even though the police could not recover a body. Kate’s batsuit got blasted out of the plane, and Ryan retrieved it. Ryan went on to fill in as Batwoman in Kate’s absence.
Episodes passed until fans got any information regarding Kate’s whereabouts. The series made it seem as if Kate died in the plane crash, and that was it. However, in episode 13, Alice discovers that Kate is alive, now played by Wallis Day. Kate managed to survive the plane crash. She was taken by Roman Sionis, aka Black Mask, who then brainwashed her into thinking she was Circe, his dead daughter. Kate’s face got disfigured in the crash, so Roman gave her Circe’s face.
Kate’s memories later return thanks to Alice. But, in the end, she decides to leave Gotham to search for her cousin, Bruce. Before she left, Kate gave Ryan her blessing to continue being Batwoman. Batwoman Season 2 will probably be the last fans see of Kate Kane.
A deleted scene shows Ocean’s speculation about Circe, aka Kate
ComicBook.com got a hold of an exclusive sneak peek of a deleted scene from Batwoman Season 2 from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. You can check out the deleted scene on their website. In the scene, Alice and Ocean converse after finding out that Circe might be Kate.
Ocean questions Alice about how sure she is that Circe is Kate. However, Alice is adamant that she knows her sister, even just by seeing her eyes. She convinces Ocean to believe her.
Then, Alice tells Ocean that she is going to save Kate, despite wanting to kill her multiple times before.
Everything we know about ‘Batwoman’ Season 3
After the craziness that was Batwoman Season 2, it looks as if season 3 will be even more intense. The new episodes will pick up where the finale left off with numerous trophies of Batman’s villains on the loose. These items include Poison Ivy’s plants, Mad Hatter’s hat, Penguin’s cane, and more.
The CW already announced that Bridget Regan would join the cast as Poison Ivy, and Mad Hatter can be seen in one of the trailers for season 3. So, it’s clear that Gotham is about to become overrun by notorious villains from the comics. The network also announced that Robin Givens, Victoria Cartagena, and Nick Creegan would join the cast as Jada Jet, Renee Montoya, and Marquis Jet, respectively.
Batwoman returns to The CW on Oct. 13 at 9/8c.
