‘Batwoman’ Season 3 Trailer Introduces the Mad Hatter
If you wanted The CW‘s Batwoman to dive deeper into Batman’s history with notorious villains, you’re in luck. Many of Gotham City’s worst bad guys will appear in Batwoman Season 3, and it looks like Mad Hatter is the latest villain to cause trouble for the city’s vigilante. He will join the ranks of Poison Ivy as Ryan and the Bat Team, with the help of Alice, try to track down these infamous criminals and their powerful weapons.
Villainous items are on the loose
Batwoman Season 2 introduced an entirely new character to the DC universe, Ryan Wilder, played by Javicia Leslie. Ryan took on the mantle of Batwoman when Kate Kane went missing. Ruby Rose left the show after season 1 for personal reasons, so Leslie stepped up to the plate and became Gotham’s superhero.
Season 2 mainly focused on Ryan navigating through the growing pains of becoming Batwoman. In the finale, though, Kate, played by Wallis Day, gave Ryan her blessing to continue being Batwoman. She then accepted her role as the city’s savior.
Many other essential plot points occurred in the finale, one of them being Batman’s collection of villainous items floating away down the river. Poison Ivy’s plants and Mad Hatter’s hat were among the abandoned things.
Batman villains galore in ‘Batwoman’ Season 3
Per TV Line, The CW recently released the second trailer for Batwoman Season 3. This time, though, fans can get a better look into what’s happening in Gotham City after the season 2 finale. The video is about a minute longer than the first promo for the new season. And, as mentioned before, the new preview teases the arrival of Mad Hatter.
In the trailer, Mad Hatter obtains his missing hat and crashes Gotham University Medical School’s graduation ceremony. There, he reveals a bag full of Alice in Wonderland masks. This scene makes one wonder how Alice will react to Mad Hatter’s resurgence in Gotham. The two of them are bound to have some sort of history, after all. Hopefully, he does not drag her back to the dark side, and Alice can help the Bat Team in their mission.
Fans can also see more of Luke Fox in his Batwing suit and Alice teaming up with the Bat Team to track down the villainous items in the promo. You can watch the extended Batwoman Season 3 trailer below.
