Before Fame, ‘The Bachelor’s Peter Weber Was Good Friends With This Disney Channel Alum
It appears that The Bachelor’s Peter Weber has more celebrity friends than we thought.
Before becoming a fan favorite on Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette and ultimately, the new leading man of the current season, Weber was just a Delta Airlines pilot from L.A. who happened to be close pals with not one, but TWO well-known actresses.
While we already know that he’s enjoyed a friendship with Victorious star, Victoria Justice, we were surprised to learn that Weber is also a longtime friend of this former Disney Channel actress/singer.
This actress just revealed she and Weber go way back
Seeing as though he did grow up in L.A., it doesn’t come as a shock that Weber had crossed paths with a few well-known celebrities before rising to fame on The Bachelorette.
While we have since learned about his longtime friendship with Victoria Justice, it was just revealed that Weber also goes way back with former Shake It Up star, Bella Thorne.
The actress revealed her connection to Weber in an Instagram Story post on Feb. 3, sharing that she tunes into the current season of The Bachelor each week to watch her “longtime family friend” search for his future co-pilot.
Thorne shared this unknown fact along with a screenshot of a texting conversation she had with boyfriend Benjamin Mascolo — which The Sun reporter Rachael Ellenbogen captured and shared on Twitter before it expired.
In the chat, Thorne told Mascolo that she would be watching the episode as soon as she got home, penning, “I legit. can’t. Wait. To. Watch. It.”
In the corner of the screenshot, the actress noted her friendship with Weber by writing, “hahaha when your long time family friend is the @bachelornation and now you become obsessed hahahahah.”
The reality star is no stranger to having famous friends
While the extent of Weber and Thorne’s friendship remains unclear, we know for a fact that his connection to Justice runs pretty deep.
In June 2019, the former Nickelodeon star took to Instagram to reveal that she’s known the pilot for many years and shared that they’ve been good friends since they were children.
“So great catching up with you today @pilot_pete !” the actress wrote. “For those of you who watch the Bachelorette, I’m sure you know Peter. We’ve been friends since I was 9 back in Florida & our moms are good friends (so let’s not start any crazy rumors ha).”
“We all haven’t seen each other in years & it was so much fun catching up & reminiscing,” she continued. “I still have no idea how the show ends! Can’t wait to seeeeee,”
Justice and the rest of Bachelor Nation definitely saw how Brown’s season ended — Weber sadly came in 3rd place, and the former beauty queen went on to become engaged to winner Jed Wyatt, who she broke up with shortly after.
Following his heart broking departure from the show, Weber was given a second chance at love and has since been making his mark — and controversial choices — as the new Bachelor.
With only a few women left, the Delta pilot has some tough decisions to make and will hopefully walk away with a wife at the end of all of this.
