Early teasers for the show framed the situation as Ximena outing Mike’s gas problems and embarrassing him. However, viewers finally saw the rest of the context around the incident.

For most of this season of Before the 90 Days, Ximena’s edits showed her as the one with more red flags in her and Mike’s relationship. She lied to Mike about her ability to give him his own children. Plus, her past relationship with a hitman could potentially put Mike in danger. While those are certainly some major red flags, the show portrayed Mike as the one getting a raw deal.
In Before the 90 Days Season 5 Episode 7, Ximena and Mike finally spend some alone time together at a hotel away from her family and sons. One morning, Ximena wakes up and steps outside to call her sister. She confesses that Mike’s behavior turns her off and she even asks, “Am I getting another kid?”

Such a turn off and honestly with the way he looks already, he really can’t afford to be that gross in the beginning.”
