Cooking is not for everyone, and if you’re not used to being in the kitchen, macaroni and cheese isn’t something you should try your hand at Thanksgiving. While many people like various styles and flavors of mac and cheese, getting a thick and creamy texture with baked mac and cheese is essential.

Like many other celebs, Bella Hadid was eager to show off her culinary skill over the holiday. This year, the supermodel contributed the cheesy dish to her family’s Thanksgiving meal. Hadid happily shared a video of the meal on her social media accounts.

Unfortunately, she did not receive the response that she was expecting.

Bella Hadid shared a video of her mac and cheese from Thanksgiving

Hadid uploaded the video of her mac and cheese to her Instagram. However, when she used the ladle to scoop out some of the cheese and noodles, fans were horrified to see the dish’s soupy texture. She captioned the video, “let’s ride.”

It looks like Hadid used way too much cheesy mixture and did not use a proper thickener to make the dish, so it literally fell apart when she dived into it. Fans were so stunned that they had no idea that the dish was even mac and cheese when the model first posted it.

In fact, many fans thought the dish was some cinnamon-like dessert because it was so milky looking. They also assumed that the toping was a spicy crumble and not the breadcrumbs that traditionally go on top of some mac and cheese dishes.

However, since the model used the song “Cheesy Rat Blues” on the video, fans quickly determined what she was trying to achieve. Hadid used Panko breadcrumbs, freshly grated parmesan, and paprika. However, it looks like the proportions were off, and she did not leave the dish in the oven long enough to bake properly.

Twitter is disgusted by Bella Hadid’s mac and cheese video

On Twitter, fans began calling Hadid’s dish “mac soup” and “cheese milk.” Instagram was not kinder. One Instagram user said, “This ain’t mac & cheese this cheese in mac 😂ahttttttttttt Cheese pudding.” Another tried to be a bit more kind saying, “I’m sorry, but no.” Yet another fan said, “Is that cheese and water? Just threw the bread crumbs on it like “fck it” smh.” Someone else just assumed that it was a cobbler.

The 24-year-old has been staying busy in quarantine by cooking at home. Before macaroni-gate, she shared several photos and videos of the food she’d be making. Thus far, she’s prepared marinated chicken with spicy garlic, ginger, and a crispy marshmallow dish.

However, it looks, like she needs to let her older sister, Gigi handle the pasta dishes. After all, Gigi’s Spicy Vodka Pasta recipe had already gone viral on Tik Tok.

Gigi Hadid has a mac and cheese recipe that may be a safer bet

Gigi already has a mac and cheese recipe that she’s shared with fans before. However, since she just recently had a baby, it looks like most of the cooking duties fell on Bella this year. However, that shouldn’t stop you from trying the 25-year-old’s recipe on your own.

For Gigi’s recipe, you’ll need 1/4 cup of flour, 1 egg, 2 1/2 cup of milk, a mix of mild cheddar, sharp cheddar, and gouda that you shred yourself, 1/2 stick of butter, and for seasoning, salt pepper, paprika, and cayenne.

Like any mac and cheese recipe, you want to mix everything together with cooked noodles and bake the dish around 350 degrees for roughly 40 minutes. We’re thinking this is the recipe that Bella should have used.
