‘Below Deck Med’: Aesha Scott Reveals How She Finally Reconnected With Jack Stirrup
Despite their fallout, Aesha Scott and Jack Stirrup from Below Deck Mediterranean reconnected thanks to a special crew member.
Scott and Stirrup had a boatmance during season 4. They walked off the boat together but Stirrup ended up getting back together with his former girlfriend who ultimately got pregnant and the couple now has a child.
Unfortunately, Scott learned that Stirrup rekindled his romance with his ex through Instagram. She blocked him on social media but finally agreed to talk to him thanks to a little nudge from friend Travis Michalzik.

“He ended up apologizing to me,” Scott said on the Below Deck Med After Show. “I didn’t talk to [Stirrup] for a long time. It was actually Travis who teed it up. He was like, ‘Oh he really wants to say sorry. Like do you mind if I give him your number?’ Because I like blocked him on everything.”
“I was like, you know what, it’s been a while, sure like why not,” Scott continued. “He ended up just like apologizing. And I really let him have it and he took it all. And was like, ‘I know, I know.’ He’s a little puddly and he’s always gonna be a little sh*tbag.”
“But I just thought like, it’s a shame to let such a good friendship go to waste,” she said. “If you’re going to hold onto anger or if you’re going to be ignoring someone or blocking someone. Even if you’re in the right. You’re still allowing negative energy to be in your life. And I just don’t want any of that.”
Scott thinks becoming a father was just what Stirrup needed
Despite their reconciliation, Scott says she hasn’t been in touch with Stirrup since he and his girlfriend welcomed their first child.
“I’m really happy for him,” Scott said. “I think it’s going to be really good for him. It’ll be the best thing for him. You know, he’s quite a child so I think it will be really good for him to grow up a bit and have to deal with another human.”
Stirrup and girlfriend Kelly Hidge announced the birth of their son, Phoenix Sidney Stirrup on April 15. Hidge has shared photos of Stirrup holding his newborn son too. “My entire world,” she wrote.
‘Below Deck Med’ showrunner knew the couple finally became friends
Executive producer Nadine Rajabi shared that she knew the former couple finally reconnected. “Aesha and Jack are not together right now,” she said on the Bleav No Script No Problem podcast. “They are friends. They kind of stopped talking for a very long time. But they reconvened and they’re friends.”
Rajabi also shared one funny conversation she had with Stirrup when he learned he was going to be a father. “Jack is actually having a baby with his girlfriend who he dated a little bit before the show and then after,” she said.
“So I remember, Jack’s like, ‘Nadine, I need some money, what should I do?” Rajabi said using her best Liverpool accent. She laughed, “I’m like, I don’t know Jack. You gotta keep working, man. And I was like, ‘Poor guy.’ He is such a loveable human being. I love that guy so much. I think he’s going to be a great father.”
