‘Below Deck Med:’ Could Anastasia Surmava and Colin Macy-O’Toole Be the Perfect Couple?
When Bravo producer Andy Cohen asked Colin Macy-O’Toole from Below Deck Mediterranean how he felt about Anastasia Surmava’s crush, the deckhand turned bright red.
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Macy-O’Toole watched a montage of what Surmava had to say about him when she appeared on WWHL. Surmava said Macy-O’Toole was the hottest deckhand and she had a crush on him.
Cohen asked Macy-O’Toole if he knew Surmava had a crush on him. Macy-O’Toole had no idea and said once Surmava mentioned she had a boyfriend he didn’t consider her as someone he’d date.
But fans are ready for them to date
Cohen held a poll on WWHL, “Would Anastasia and Colin make a good couple?” Most fans agreed with at least 75% saying yes. One colorful caller referred to Macy-O’Toole as “America’s sweetheart of yachting” during the After Show. “He’s like the male Sandra Bullock with that baby face,” the caller remarked.
Surmava posted a photo wearing her black chef coat after the episode aired and Macy-O’Toole was quick to respond. “Yasssss!” he wrote. Surmava was happy to see her friend on WWHL too. “So exited to see you on WWHL!!!”
Fans were also all in when Surmava gushed about Macy-O’Toole when she appeared on WWHL. Macy-O’Toole commented with a few heart eye emojis on her WWHL post. Plus a fan wrote, “please I hope you really gave him a .”
She seems to meet Macy-O’Toole’s dating criteria
When Cohen asked Macy-O’Toole if he was still single, he didn’t have a straight answer. He admitted he has a harder time dating because some people want to go out with him because he’s on the show.
Which would make Surmava perfect since she wouldn’t be starstruck. Macy-O’Toole told Showbiz Cheat Sheet about what he was looking for in a relationship. “I want someone outgoing and funny,” he said. “Someone who likes to go out, but also stays in once in a while.”
He even dished about who is his celebrity crush. “I’ve talked about this with my friends and they always have answers. I didn’t have an answer to this one,” he remarked. “Mine would be Margot Robbie. I think she’s beautiful, she’s well spoken. She’d be fun to go out with too.”
Plus she’s close with her family too
Surmava often talks lovingly about her mother on Below Deck Med. The third stew turned chef reached out to her mom during a recent charter for baking advice. In February, she posted a sweet photo with her mother in front of a beautiful sunset. “Sunsets, vino, and Mama… perfect date night,” she wrote.
Below Deck Med fans already know Macy-O’Toole is close with his family too. He told Showbiz Cheat Sheet about what happens when he brings one of his dates home. “I turn invisible when I bring a girl home and introduce them to my family,” he joked. “I basically fall off the earth.”
He added, “I’m just sitting in the corner drinking my beer. I could leave right now and no one would know.”
