‘Below Deck Med’: Life Has Drastically Changed for Tiffany Copeland Since Season 1
Third stew Tiffany Copeland from Below Deck Mediterranean went from being the stew who flirted with chef Ben Robinson on season 1 to a yacht captain who recently got married.
Copeland drove chief stew Hannah Ferrier a little crazy as she was admittedly green and sometimes got sidetracked while on the job. Copeland preferred to be on deck and Ferrier complained that her third stew wasn’t entirely up to speed on her job. Copeland managed to get through the season and even hooked up with Robinson. She also made peace with Ferrier and today, the two have a friendly relationship.
While other season 1 crew members have switched careers since their time on the show, Copeland not only stayed in the industry but worked her way up the ranks. Plus her days of flirting with chefs are over as she recently announced she got married.
She’s the captain now
Copeland admitted she was green to the industry when she joined the Below Deck Med crew in 2016. She got into yachting after getting her marine biology degree from Florida Atlantic University. On the show, she shared her passion for manatee rescue and conservation.
While manatee rescue remained her true love it didn’t pay the bills. Copeland stayed in yachting and decided to see where the industry would take her. She ultimately worked her way up to first mate then captain. Copeland said getting a captain’s license was a little like getting a driver’s license.
“You can get it, but it doesn’t mean you know what you are doing yet,” she explained on The Passion Point podcast. “So you have to practice.” She adds being thrown into the “deep end” with help is the best way to learn too.
Tiffany Copeland is also married
Copeland married Evan Jones on Saturday, October 10, 2020. She shares an anniversary date with other Bravolebs like Kelly Dodd from The Real Housewives of Orange County. Plus, Cynthia Bailey from The Real Housewives of Atlanta had a grand wedding too.
She posted a number of wedding photos on Instagram, including several images that showed off the gorgeous vineyard landscape. “Mr. Jones and me,” she captioned the photo after their vows were sealed with a kiss. Several cast members commented on Copeland’s photos.
“Amazing!! You looked breath taking my love,” Ferrier wrote on one of the Instagram threads. “I have shed so many tears watching the videos. Love you so so much. Miss you x.” Julia D’Albert-Pusey, who was second stew during Copeland’s season wrote, “Congratulations!”
Copeland also shared a video dancing the night away with her wedding guests. She’s seen wearing a white mask to match her flowing gown as the event appeared to be held at an outdoor venue.
