Affleck was recently linked to Kathleen “Kick” Kennedy. They allegedly had a fling before Affleck got back together with Lopez in 2021. However, Affleck’s reps squashed any dating rumors between him and Kennedy, stating nothing romantic happened between them.
A source told In Touch Weekly that Affleck is “living in fear” of Lopez as they move through their divorce, resulting in his vehement denial of a romance with Kennedy.
“The frustration with that from his point of view is that he’s being held back from having fun and enjoying himself because he can’t risk pissing J.Lo off,” the insider alleged. “His big complaint in their marriage was how controlling she was, so you can just imagine how upsetting it is for him that she’s essentially still controlling him.”
The source added that Affleck wants to get back into the dating scene and have fun. He allegedly has “so many hot women blowing up his phone.” However, he allegedly doesn’t want to “risk upsetting” Lopez. If Lopez becomes upset, “she could easily drag it out if he does anything to trigger her, which has him feeling pretty trapped,” the source continued.

“But J. Lo figures there’s no smoke without fire,” the insider said. “She’s livid at the thought that he’s been chasing tail at the same time she was fighting tooth and nail to save the marriage, and there’s no way she’s willing to let this go.”
The source added that Affleck doesn’t want to “live like a monk” for long. “But J.Lo is nowhere near ready to make this easy on him,” they added. “She’s devastated, and the news that Ben’s dating a woman nearly 20 years younger than her, whether he admits it or not, is only making her more upset.”

An additional source told TMZ that Affleck is “annoyed” by all of the gossip surrounding him and Kennedy. While Affleck will likely date again in the future, it’s safe to say that he and Kennedy probably won’t pursue a romance.
