‘Better Call Saul’: Fans Notice a Minuscule ‘Breaking Bad’ Easter Egg Others Might Have Missed
It’s been more than a year since fans have seen a new episode of Better Call Saul. For those who can’t wait for the new season, the good news is the cast and crew are currently filming. Still, the sixth and final season is slated for a mid-2022 release.
Until then, many fans are keeping themselves busy by rewatching Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad. In doing so, some fans have found even more Easter eggs from the original series in Better Call Saul.

‘Breaking Bad’ Easter Eggs in ‘Better Call Saul’
While waiting for the new season to arrive, many fans have been combing over the details of Better Call Saul’s previous seasons. Some are even rewatching the sequel to Better Call Saul — Breaking Bad. In doing so, fans are noticing the most minor of details.
For instance, one fan found a Breaking Bad connection in Better Call Saul that some might not have noticed. A job listing for a receptionist position at the ABQ Kid’s Store & Playhouse is circled in a newspaper in Better Call Saul. Directly next to it is a job listing for Beneke Fabricators — Skyler White’s (Anna Gunn) former employer in Breaking Bad.
“Wouldn’t this be right around the time Skyler left Beneke?” said a fan. “Wonder if the ad is for a bookkeeper?”
What’s more, this isn’t the first time Better Call Saul has included an Easter egg in a newspaper. In the first episode of season 4, Jimmy/Saul (Bob Odenkirk) looks through the paper searching for a new job.
He circles a listing for a local cell phone chain, but there’s another job listing for Hinkle Extreme Laser Tag above it. The “Lazer Base” is mentioned in Breaking Bad Seasons 3 and 5.
‘Better Call Saul’ Season 6 might feature even more Easter eggs
Fans can expect the sixth and final season of Better Call Saul to bring them closer to the story of Breaking Bad. It’s not surprising, then, to know that the cast and crew are filming at Saul Goodman’s iconic strip mall office.
Better Call Saul fans local to Albequerque have spotted the cast and crew working on the new season. Some locals have shared photos on Reddit, including evidence of Saul’s office, his white Cadillac, and the inflatable Statue Of Liberty that sits atop the strip mall.
The images haven’t been confirmed to be part of season 6 by AMC nor Better Call Saul. But that hasn’t stopped fans from obsessing over the photos and analyzing them.
‘Better Call Saul’ has a lot of questions to answer to catch up with the original series
Better Call Saul has jumped back and forth in time over the last five seasons. We get glimpses of Saul’s life after Breaking Bad in the brief black-and-white cold opens in many Better Call Saul episodes.
We’ve also seen the multiple times Saul has gotten himself in and out of trouble with his “criminal lawyer” ways. Plus, countless Breaking Bad characters have popped up in the prequel series.
Still, fans want a lot of questions answered in the final season of Better Call Saul. Perhaps the biggest question many fans have is “What happens to Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn)?” We’ll have to wait until 2022 to find out.
