Beyoncé’s Favorite Ice Cream Flavor Is Totally an Old Fashioned Classic
This performer might’ve limited her diet prior to her Coachella performance, but with a few different pictures and videos, fans learned which ice cream flavor is one of Beyoncé Knowles-Carter’s favorites. Here’s what we learned about this award-winning, chart-topping diva and what she typically eats in a day.
Beyoncé shared her favorite flavor of ice cream
When she’s not grabbing Grammy Awards or voice-acting in Disney’s live-action adaptation of The Lion King, Beyoncé enjoys a scoop of ice cream from time to time. Cosmopolitan writes, “Her favorite ice cream flavor is butter pecan. Sometimes even Beyoncé just needs a pint of Ben & Jerry’s and a DVR full of her stories.”
Her love of ice cream doesn’t stop there, though. Fans saw pictures of this diva posing in front of a Mister Softee truck, wearing a balloon hat. There’s even one unreleased song by Beyoncé titled “Ice Cream Truck,” created over 10 years ago.
What other foods does Beyoncé like?
One picture gave a glimpse into Beyoncé’s diet, including what she’ll have for a meal. She stays true to her Texas roots, eating a plate of chicken and waffles. Another picture shows the diva eating some grits alongside a piece of chicken. For dessert, of course, that includes some Blue Bell ice cream.
This picture shared was from at least five years ago. Since then, Beyoncé enjoys a plant-based lifestyle, eating vegan alongside her husband Jay-Z. In one email, Beyoncé wrote, “The benefits of a plant-based diet need to be known. We should spend more time loving ourselves, which means taking better care of ourselves with good nutrition and making healthier food choices.”
Her diet changed again in preparation for live performances. That’s especially true of her diet following the birth of her twins, Rumi and Sir Carter and in preparation for her groundbreaking Coachella performance.
Beyoncé is mostly vegan now, especially in preparation for her Coachella performance
After a brief hiatus from the stage following the birth of her twins, Beyoncé came back guns blazing with her groundbreaking Coachella performance. This was the first time an African American woman headlined the music festival, and she was sure to let attendees know with an HBCU-inspired “homecoming” celebration.
This performer took her involvement one step further, releasing the Netflix documentary, Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé. In it, fans saw the preparation that went into this historic performance, including what Beyoncé limited herself to eating prior to the event. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t much.
“In order for me to meet my goals, I’m limiting myself to no bread, no carbs, no sugar, no dairy, no meat, no fish, no alcohol — and I’m hungry,” Beyoncé said, while eating an apple, in her Homecoming documentary.
The documentary also featured part of her exercise and rehearsal routine. She continued, stating, “I definitely pushed myself further than I knew I could and I learned a very valuable lesson. I will never, never push myself that far again.”
