Beyoncé and Jay-Z ‘Knew Something Was Going to Happen’ to Jay-Z After Diddy Arrest
Beyoncé and Jay-Z have reportedly been preparing for allegations against Jay-Z to come out since Sean “Diddy” Combs’ arrest. Jay-Z has wholeheartedly denied the allegations recently made against him in a lawsuit. Still, his name has floated around in connection to Combs for months.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z were reportedly gearing up for trouble after Diddy’s arrest
In December, an anonymous woman named Jay-Z in a lawsuit that previously accused Combs and an anonymous celebrity of rape. She alleged that she was 13 years old when the men raped her at a VMAs afterparty.
A source told Us Weekly that Beyoncé and Jay-Z are “so upset” by the lawsuit. They anticipated something like this happening, though.
“His name has been pulled into the Diddy drama from the beginning, so they knew something was going to happen. They just didn’t know when,” the source said. “Jay-Z professed to Beyoncé that he’s innocent and it’s a total money grab.”
Beyoncé is reportedly devastated by the allegations against Jay-Z
Another source told the outlet that Beyoncé is currently trying to put on a brave face for the sake of her children.
“She is moving forward with her life, she is still committed to her scheduled performance in two weeks, and will be there for her family as much as she can,” the source said. “She won’t let this bring her image down.”
Still, she reportedly feels devastated by the news. A source told the Daily Mail that she has “spent the last few days crying.”
She is reportedly leaning heavily on her Destiny’s Child bandmate Michelle Williams.
“She has always been Beyoncé’s most spiritual friend, and she helped her get through the Beyoncé-hate train in the early 2000s when LeToya and LaTavia left the group,” the insider said. “Michelle was one of the first people Bey confided in and they have been speaking every evening when Michelle has time away from her Broadway show.”
He has denied the allegations
Jay-Z has denied the allegations. In his statement, he said the case was a blatant money grab. He painted his children as the victims in the whole matter, as he had to explain the situation to them.
“My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people,” Jay-Z wrote in a statement. “I mourn yet another loss of innocence. Children should not have to endure such at their young age. It is unfair to have to try to understand inexplicable degrees of malice meant to destroy families and human spirit.”
Combs’ attorney has also denied his involvement.
