Beyoncé ‘Won’t Let’ Jay-Z Allegations ‘Bring Her Image Down’
Beyoncé is reportedly trying to weather the allegations against Jay-Z. This month, an anonymous woman amended a lawsuit to name him. She alleged that Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs raped her at a VMAs afterparty when she was 13 years old. The couple presented a united front at the premiere of Mufasa: The Lion King. Still, Beyoncé is reportedly unhappy with the situation.
Beyoncé is trying to keep it together after allegations against Jay-Z
As Jay-Z deals with the lawsuit, Beyoncé is reportedly trying to keep her life and family together.
“She is moving forward with her life, she is still committed to her scheduled performance in two weeks, and will be there for her family as much as she can,” a source told US Weekly. “She won’t let this bring her image down.”
The source added that she “does not believe a word of what they’re saying.”
She reportedly is not in a good place
While Beyoncé is trying her best to navigate the situation, she is reportedly not happy.
“Beyoncé is embarrassed, devastated, and horrified with the allegations against her husband,” a source told the Daily Mail. “He is in no way a saint and has cheated on Beyoncé in the past and she hoped that was the worst they would have to go through.”
She reportedly feels “confused and shocked” and has “spent the last few days crying.”
“Beyoncé isn’t in a good place at all and is surrounded by her mother and other friends at their home in LA,” the insider added. “She has canceled some surprise promotional appearances. Jay has reassured her that he isn’t guilty of anything and is infuriated that his friendship with Diddy has dragged him into this.”
Jay-Z said he and Beyoncé explained the situation to their children
Jay-Z has denied the allegations against him. He claims the lawsuit is nothing more than a money grab.
“My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter, from a ‘lawyer’ named Tony Buzbee,” he wrote in his statement. ‘What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle. No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion. So no, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!!”
He said that his children are the victims in the situation.
“My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people,” Jay-Z wrote. “I mourn yet another loss of innocence. Children should not have to endure such at their young age. It is unfair to have to try to understand inexplicable degrees of malice meant to destroy families and human spirit.”
