Beyoncé dedicated one of her songs to her eldest daughter, Blue Ivy. Blue Ivy even sang on The Lion King: The Gift’s “Brown Skin Girl.” Are there any songs by Queen Bey about Rumi and Sir Carter? Here’s what we know about some projects featuring the twins.

In addition to being a Grammy Award-winning artist, Beyoncé is a mother of three, recently giving birth to twins. Sir and Rumi Carter were both born on June 13, 2017, with Essence Magazine reporting Rumi was born first.

“Being a mother, my family is my biggest priority,” Beyoncé said during an interview with Good Morning America. “It’s not many films that the parents can come and feel the way I feel about The Lion King, and feel that and pass that legacy onto their kids.”

Although Beyoncé’s priorities shifted after having children, this business owner still has time for music. She sometimes writes about motherhood and even features Blue Ivy Carter in her original songs. There are some Beyoncé songs that inadvertently mention Rumi and Sir.

What Beyoncé songs are about her twins, Rumi and Sir Carter?

Beyoncé’s children became the focus of several original songs, with the twins getting mentions in The Carters. In “Lovehappy,” Beyoncé sings “twinning — Blue and Rumi, me and Solo are winning.” For “Boss,” Beyoncé and Jay-Z featured their eldest daughter giving a shoutout to Rumi and Sir (love, Blue).

There are some references to Rumi and Sir in The Lion King: The Gift and its corresponding visual album. Some lyrics in “Mood 4 Eva” reference Beyoncé’s role as a mother, with Queen Bey singing, “Y’all be so pressed while I’m raisin’ daughters.”

When Beyoncé partnered with Disney+ for Black is King, she posted an extra message for Sir. “Dedicated to my son, Sir Carter. And to all our sons and daughters, the sun and the moon sow for you. You are the keys to the kingdom,” the video clip reads.

There’s no word regarding if, or when, Rumi and Sir will sing on a Beyoncé or Jay-Z song. Still, these children are considerably young, rarely making public appearances like their older sister, Blue Ivy.

Some Beyoncé songs feature her oldest daughter, Blue Ivy

In 2012, Beyoncé and Jay-Z first became parents, having Blue Ivy in January of that year. As the Carter’s eldest daughter, Blue Ivy lent her voice to the original The Lion King: The Gift song, “Brown Skin Girl.” Rumi even had a cameo in the “Brown Skin Girl” section of Black Is King, appearing alongside Blue Ivy, Beyoncé, and Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles.

On Beyoncé’s self-titled album, the artist created the song “Blue” about her daughter, even featuring young Blue Ivy on the track. Queen Bey even created a corresponding music video for this track, posting it to YouTube.
