Beyoncé’s Daughter Blue Ivy Carter Is Already Skilled At Makeup
Whether it’s that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, that the connections famous parents make in Hollywood help their kids get a leg up in the cutthroat world of entertainment, or a combination of the two, many kids of famous people are on the path to a future of fame themselves. Part of it is that social media has allowed fans more access to celebrities’ personal lives, giving us not just famous stars but famous families. It’s definitely fun to watch these kids grow into their own passions and talents, and with parents as famous as Jay-Z and Beyoncé, Blue Ivy Carter was almost destined to have creative skills.
While it’s probably too soon to say exactly where Carter is headed, the nine-year-old is already showing some great skills when it comes to makeup.
Blue Ivy Carter is the oldest child of Beyoncé and Jay-Z
Jay-Z and Beyoncé are one of Hollywood’s most famous power couples. Even as they’ve faced down — and sung about — marital woes, the pair has stood strong and managed to come out on top time and again. Beyoncé was just 18 and a quickly rising pop star when she met Jay-Z, one of the most recognizable names in hip hop. Jay-Z might be twelve years her senior, but the pair took things slow. They kept their relationship under wraps from the prying eyes of the public and have mostly kept their marriage very private as well. They tied the knot in 2008 in a top-secret ceremony.
A few years later, the couple started growing their family. Blue Ivy Carter is their oldest daughter, and she was born in 2012. In 2017, the couple welcomed twins named Sir and Rumi. Now a family of five, fans are always thrilled to catch rare glimpses of the children who Jay-Z and Beyoncé mostly shield from the public.

While Jay-Z and Beyoncé have worked hard to give their children privacy, it’s also clear that they are not going to stand in the way when it comes to letting their kids find their own paths. In the case of Blue Ivy Carter, it seems likely that the young girl is heading toward the entertainment world.
Carter has started making cameos in some of her famous mother’s work, and whenever she pops up, she tends to steal the show. Carter has provided vocals on some of her mother’s song tracks and has even earned herself a Grammy nomination for her work on the song “Brown Skin Girl.” When Tina Knowles-Lawson, Beyoncé’s mother, shared a video of her granddaughter dancing exuberantly to Ciara’s “Gimme Dat,” fans were delighted by the child’s spirit and moves.
Makeup is a skill for Blue Ivy Carter
She can sing. She can dance. That alone is already an impressive start to a likely life of fame for Blue Ivy Carter, but her family has revealed that she has another creative talent: makeup. As Page Six reports, Knowles-Lawson once again took to Instagram to share details about her granddaughter’s skills.
This time, Knowles-Lawson posted a photo of herself made up with glamorous makeup. She captioned it with a nod to Carter’s talents: “My talented granddaughter Blue made up my face today. She is only 9 years old can you imagine her at 15 doing my makeup?”
It certainly seems like Blue Ivy Carter has a lot of options available for her. Of course, with her significant trust fund and her family’s substantial wealth, she’ll likely have the space and time to figure out where she wants to take those talents.
