Beyoncé’s Daughter Rumi Is Not Like Her or Jay-Z, Says Grandpa
Beyoncé is one of the biggest artists in the world, with a super-passionate fanbase and dozens of hit songs to her credit. In spite of her many impressive professional achievements, possibly the most important is the incredible family life that she has built with her husband, rapper Jay-Z.
Together, not only have they managed to build a business empire that is unlike any other, but they have also grown their family to include their adorable children. Recently, Beyoncé‘s outspoken father, Mathew Knowles, opened up about the couple’s children, and the unique traits that he sees in each one.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z have three children
Beyoncé and Jay-Z first met when she was an up and coming artist, and he was an established rapper — sometime in late 1999 or early 2000. They were friends for a while before they started dating, building a foundation that would serve them well over the years that followed. The two didn’t go public with their romance until several years later, but mostly kept their relationship under wraps.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z got married in April 2008. Their ceremony was top-secret, and many didn’t even realize that the music superstars were married until several months later.
After several years of married bliss, Beyoncé revealed that she was pregnant in August 2011. The couple welcomed their daughter, Blue Ivy, in January 2012. Over five years later, Beyoncé and Jay-Z surprised everyone by announcing that they were expecting twins — and in June 2017, their twins, Sir Carter and Rumi were born.
Beyoncé keeps her children away from the spotlight
With three young children to raise, Beyoncé and Jay-Z are very careful about how they spend their time. They work together whenever possible, collaborating on new songs as well as concert tours.
Although they have weathered a lot of storms in their twelve years of marriage, the couple always manages to overcome any obstacle.
When it comes to parenting duties, Beyoncé and Jay-Z are strict but have admitted that they try hard to maintain positive, strong relationships with their children. Beyoncé has called her oldest daughter Blue Ivy her “best friend” and the baby was rarely seen in public when she was an infant. Now that she is a bit older, Beyoncé has been known to take her out on the town, to various red carpet events and fashion shows.
As to whether or not the couple could have more children in the future, the jury is out. Beyoncé and Jay-Z have both stated that they would like a large family, but Beyoncé has also revealed that she went through a very difficult pregnancy with her twins. So, it could be a while before she decides to put herself through such an ordeal again.
Mathew Knowles opened up about Beyoncé’s children
Fans are eager to learn as much as they can about Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s children. Therefore, when Beyoncé’s father, Mathew Knowles, opened up about his grandchildren, it made headlines.
Knowles revealed that each of the three children has very distinct personalities, with Blue Ivy being remarkably similar to Beyoncé, including her innate musical ability and talent for performing.
As for the twins, Rumi reminds the doting grandfather of a surprising family member. “Sir, he just wants his world to himself. Rumi, reminds me of Solange,” Knowles stated.
Solange Knowles is Beyoncé’s younger sister and an impressive artist in her own right. A fashion icon and independent musician, it is possible that baby Rumi shares Solange’s looks as well as her intense spirit.
Very few pictures of the twins have been shared over the years, but as they get older, Beyoncé and Jay-Z could decide to post more pictures of their toddlers. In the meantime, fans will get to enjoy learning what they can about babies from friends and relatives.
