Christmas Abbott became the Head of Household for ‘Big Brother 22’ Week 5

Following Kaysar Ridha’s explosive eviction speech, the houseguests faced off for the most crucial Head of Household title yet in the season. For the competition, meant to draw lines, the players went head-to-head answering questions based on pictures of each other wearing filters.

Whoever won eliminated the loser and advanced to the next round as well as chose the next two competitors to face off.

Almost immediately, Bayleigh Dayton and Da’Vonne Rogers recognized they were in trouble, and the latter answered several questions correctly to end up in the final round.

However, Da’Vonne rang in first with the wrong answer, resulting in Christmas Abbott, who no one picked for the entire competition, walking away with the title.

Christmas Abbott also won the Power of Veto for ‘Big Brother 22’ Week 5

For the past couple of weeks, Nicole Franzel and Dani Donato Briones have subtly hinted to Christmas that she should nominate Bayleigh and Da’Vonne if she won HOH.

The two wanted Bayleigh out before jury phase because they thought she would vote emotionally and think she’s a better competitor than Da’Vonne. Therefore, Christmas almost immediately knew who she would nominate shortly following her win.

However, she played it cool when speaking to Bayleigh or Da’Vonne because she claimed she feared the ladies’ reactions. After nominating the allies, Christmas made it clear she wanted Bayleigh out of the house and would consider working with Da’Vonne.

The HOH, her nominees, Ian Terry, Dani, and Nicole, then faced off for the Power of Veto. Christmas won her fourth competition of the season, and Nicole and Bayleigh were stuck with punishments. Nicole gave Da’Vonne the $5,000 prize.

Will Christmas Abbott use Power of Veto on a nominee?

Before the veto competition, Dani, Da’Vonne, and Bayleigh all bonded after believing that Tyler pitted them against each other. Therefore, the ladies, including Nicole, approached Christmas with a plan to backdoor the BB20 runner-up, not knowing about her allegiance to Tyler through The Commission.

Christmas didn’t out the alliance but stated she didn’t want to pull that move. However, she encouraged Bayleigh and Da’Vonne to win the Veto so she could put “someone more deserving” in a seat.

Christmas ultimately came away with the win but noted she wouldn’t want to ruffle any more feathers. Therefore, the HOH will likely keep the nominations the same and have the house choose between the close allies.

So far, it looks like Cody Calafiore, Memphis Garrett, Enzo Palumbo, and David Alexander want to save Bayleigh. On the other hand, Kevin Campbell, Nicole, Dani, Ian, and Tyler will likely vote to keep Da’Vonne.
