‘Big Brother 22’: Tyler Crispen’s Plan to Go Home May Have Had a Wrench Thrown in it by Production
At first, it seemed like it was certain that Bayleigh Dayton or Da’Vonne Rogers would be going home this week on Big Brother. But now, because of Tyler Crispen, there is a small chance that things could change. But according to Crispen on the live feeds, he may not be able to sacrifice himself as he allegedly wanted to do.
[SPOILER ALERT: Spoilers ahead for Big Brother 22.]
Tyler Crispen claims he wants to save Bayleigh Dayton and Da’Vonne Rogers
When Abbott, a member of The Committee, won Head of Household, Da’Vonne Rogers and Bayleigh Dayton were nominated for eviction. Even though they are each other’s closest ally in the house and they are looked at as a duo, many fans thought this to be problematic since they are the only Black women in the house and there are still plenty of people left in the game.
Dayton is the main target for The Committee, as they believe that she is the most likely to vote emotionally if she makes it to the jury stage of the game. The rest of The Committee includes Cody Calafiore, Daniele Donato Briones, Tyler Crispen, Memphis Garrett, and Nicole Franzel.
Crispen and Dayton have been allied in a few ways for most of the game. But after he told Dayton that Briones was targeting her and Rogers and it got back to Briones, Crispen got upset with her. But recently, Crispen has seemingly had a change of heart and feels bad because Dayton will be evicted. He thinks that he had a hand in both of them going on the block and Dayton being targeted. As a result, Crispen began talking on the feeds about asking to get put on the block so he can go home and let Dayton and Rogers stay in the game.
Fans, as well as Rogers and Dayton, are unsure if Crispen is being genuine or if he’s doing this so he can be portrayed in a better light on the show and on the feeds. Also, since Crispen is close allies with Abbott, it would be unlikely for her to want to switch the nominations and put him up
He says he can’t go home because of the rules
On the live feeds Sunday, Crispen had a conversation with David Alexander, claiming that what he was trying to do was against the rules of the competition. He told Alexander that he told Rogers and Dayton he would go down for them. “I thought I was the reason that Christmas put them up,” he said to Alexander. “I said I would take a bullet for them. I tried but it’s against the rules to do that. I got told that.” When Alexander questioned what was against the rules, Cripsen said it was against the rules to try to go on the block.
Several fans have questioned how this could be breaking the rules, given the fact that houseguests have volunteered to go on the block as a pawn in the game all of the time. Just last week, the current Head of Household, Abbott, told Enzo Palumbo that she would be the pawn on the block in order to get Kaysar Ridha out of the house. Abbott was nominated after Kevin Campbell won the Power of Veto and took himself off of the block.
Big Brother airs Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays on CBS.
