‘Big Brother 23’: Hannah Chaddha Says Da’Vonne Rogers and Bayleigh Dayton Inspired Her to Play
Big Brother 23 houseguest Hannah Chaddha has become a fan-favorite, and many viewers also enjoy her possible romance with Derek Xiao. She recently revealed last season’s duo, Da’Vonne Rogers and Bayleigh Dayton, inspired her to compete on the show. Da’Vonne responded.
Hannah Chaddha said Da’Vonne Rogers and Bayleigh Dayton inspired her to play
The youngest player in the house, 21-year-old Hannah Chaddha, quickly became a favorite for viewers to root for this season.
During the competition, the houseguests take alone time with the cameras to talk to their families or fill the Live Feed viewers in on their gameplay. Hannah usually speaks to the fans at night in the bathroom before going to bed.
While spilling her thoughts early Aug. 21, she sent last season’s America’s Favorite Houseguest Da’Vonne Rogers and two-time competitor Bayleigh Dayton a shout-out, noting their bond last season inspired her to audition for the show.
Hannah also said she hoped they are watching the season and are “rooting” for her alliance, The Cookout. Hannah previously acknowledged her affinity for the ladies in her casting bio as she named them her favorite duo.
She’s a part of the six-person alliance, The Cookout
During the first couple of days in the house, Tiffany Mitchell, Derek “Big D” Frazier, Xavier Prather, and Azah Awasum, later including Kyland Young and Hannah, noted they should work together as a Black person has yet to win the original series.
The group also wanted all of them to make the jury phase with the hopes that two of their members are sitting in the final seats. To guarantee they get there, Tiffany established a game plan to pair up with a non-Cookout houseguest so that someone would nominate them together.
Therefore, they would have the votes to save their ally. While her method has worked, as many houseguests don’t suspect the six of working together, the alliance has had tension.
Although she’s the youngest, Hannah seems to be one of the most pragmatic of the group and has kept her eye on the prize; even at the expense of her game, as she’s repeatedly noted she’s there for a “mission.”
Bayleigh and Da’Vonne played ‘Big Brother 22: All-Stars’ together as Black Girl Magic
Last season, Bayleigh and Da’Vonne aligned, calling themselves Black Girl Magic. Additionally, they attempted to work with David Alexander and Kevin Campbell in the house with the same goal as the Cookout.
However, the four couldn’t get on the same page or fully trust each other. Additionally, the six-person alliance The Committee swept nearly all of the competitions, so they never had any power.
Therefore, the group didn’t make it far. Even so, Da’Vonne made history with her inspirational speeches pointing out the lack of diversity in the show and became the first Black player to receive America’s Favorite Houseguest.
Before Hannah’s shout-out, the three-time competitor already named the young player as one of her top three houseguests of the season.
She also seemingly approved of the Cookout as Hannah wished in another tweet, pointing out the group is “laughing, dancing, and having fun.” The fan-favorite continued, “When have you ever seen the Electric Slide in the BB house?”
Responding to viewers who have critiqued the Cookout for voting others out based on race, she wrote, “The sudden outrage is very telling.” Big Brother 23 airs Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 8/7 Central on CBS.
