‘Big Brother’ Star Claire Rehfuss Warns Against Trusting Spoiler Accounts
As Celebrity Big Brother 3 is scheduled to start in a few weeks, many spoilers have leaked claiming to know who will join the cast in the upcoming season. However, BB23 fan-favorite Claire Rehfuss warned fans about a particular account.
Claire Rehfuss warns against trusting spoiler account
In late Jan. 2022, shortly before the premiere of Celebrity Big Brother 3, an account that has tweeted accurate and inaccurate spoilers in the past claimed several stars from Bravo’s Real Housewives could appear in the upcoming season.
They named Vicki Gunvalson (Orange County), Ramona Singer (New York City), and Atlanta’s Kenya Moore and NeNe Leakes as potential cast members.
Still, they admitted the cast isn’t finalized until they’ve had more COVID-19 tests. Replying to someone who questioned the authenticity of the account, Big Brother 23 houseguest Claire Rehfuss called the user out for tweeting “very wrong” spoilers regarding her cast.
She claimed “there were no true spoilers” prior to her sequestering for the show and advised others not to “let these people get your hopes up.”
The spoiler account responded to Claire multiple times
Runner-up Derek Frazier agreed, insisting the user “doesn’t know anything.” In one reply, the user claimed that “sequester dates change” and denied intentionally sharing inaccurate information.
Additionally, the account pointed out other correct details they previously leaked, including Dani Briones and Janelle Pierzina’s appearance on Big Brother 22.
They also claimed they received the information from “3rd hand” sources, admitting they aren’t always accurate, as they don’t personally work at CBS. Replying to a fan who said the casts “stay laughing” at their incorrect spoilers, the user claimed production had gotten “better at hiding information now than three years ago,” presumably when the account began tweeting spoilers.
Finally, the user shared their “most beloved spoiler,” which featured them leaking Claire’s relationship with Derek Xiao that started in the jury house before the now-couple announced it.
NeNe Leakes, among others who recently debunked ‘Celebrity Big Brother 3’ rumors
On Jan. 19, shortly after CBS revealed its logo for the upcoming Celebrity Big Brother season, many spoilers flooded social media regarding which familiar faces fans could expect to see on the show.
One of the names, fitness expert Jillian Michaels, recently denounced her rumored appearance in the house, according to TMZ. Additionally, sources close to fan-favorite track star Sha’Carri Richardson, who was infamously ruled ineligible to compete in the 2020 Olympics due to a positive drug test for cannabis, also claim the Division 1 athlete won’t compete.
Her representative, Ashley Blackwood, noted the show contacted the 21-year-old “months ago” but claimed her client turned down the invitation in a statement to TMZ.
Additionally, the publication has reported that other popular names floating around, such as Leakes and Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne, will not appear as rumored. It’s unclear when CBS plans to release the cast. However, reality star Tiffany “New York” Pollard and singer-songwriter Todrick Hall, known for his affiliation with RuPaul Drag Race and Taylor Swift, remain possibilities. Celebrity Big Brother premieres on Feb. 2 on CBS.
