‘Big Brother’: Cody and Jessica Nickson Reveal They’re Expecting a Third Daughter
In 2016, Cody and Jessica Nickson met while competing on Big Brother 19 and hadn’t separated since then. Following their rocky experience on the show, the pair tried their hand at The Amazing Race and won, becoming the first BB alums to win another reality competition series. Following their victory, the couple married and had two children together. Over a year after welcoming their second child, Cody and Jessica have announced they’re expecting their third daughter. Additionally, the couple also revealed her name.

In February 2022, Cody, 37, and Jessica Nickson, 31, revealed they were expecting a new addition to their family of four. She made the announcement with an Instagram reel set to “You Are My Sunshine.”
The short clip included the couple and their kids, Maverick, 3, and Carter York, 1, showing off the ultrasound picture. Jessica captioned it, “A lot of you have already guessed it, and it’s nice not to have to hide it anymore.”
She then directed the latter half to her unborn child, writing, “We prayed for you, and now we can’t wait to meet you.”
The pair also announced they were expecting to welcome their third daughter, which she revealed they would name Atlas Ruby, according to an Instagram account she made for their newest addition, around August 2022.
Jessica and Cody met in 2016 while competing on ‘Big Brother 19’
Cody and Jessica met in 2016 during Big Brother 19. The pair quickly fell for each other and started off the season in control as he became the first Head of Household.
They formed a huge alliance consisting of showmances until returning player Paul Abrahamian flipped the house against them. Cody was evicted but quickly returned after winning the Battle Back Competition, reuniting the pair.
On the bottom, the duo continued to fight against the house, and she won an HOH. However, it didn’t go her way when the house saved her target, eventual winner Josh Martinez.
A couple of weeks later, she was evicted, and Cody followed close behind her, becoming the first jury member. He later won America’s Favorite Houseguest. They turned their showmance into a real-life romance and continued dating after the show concluded.
Cody and Jessica married after winning ‘The Amazing Race 30’
In 2017, the popular couple competed on The Amazing Race 30 as a Dating Team and won, taking home the million-dollar prize.
Cody and Jessica were the only BB alums to win another reality competition show until season 20 champ Kaycee Clark’s The Challenge: Spies, Lies, and Allies victory in 2021.
A couple of months after their win, the couple made a cameo on Celebrity Big Brother 1. Shortly later, he proposed to her on Valentine’s Day.
They married a few months later in October 2018 and announced they were expecting their first child a couple of weeks later. The pair welcomed Maverick on St. Patrick’s Day in 2019. Big Brother returns on July 6 on CBS.
