‘Big Brother’: Is There Bad Blood Between Former Couple Jack Matthews and Analyse ‘Sis’ Talavera?
Showmances on Big Brother are typically hit or miss. Some people who get together on the show go on to get married and have kids, while others split up weeks after being on the show. After breaking up shortly after their season ended, are Jack Matthews and Analyse “Sis” Talavera no longer friends?
Jack Matthews and Analyse Talavera on ‘Big Brother’
Matthews and Talavera were on the most recent season of Big Brother and one of its most controversial. The 21st season was known for racially-charged and misogynistic remarks that were made by several cast members, most notably Matthews. He was mostly criticized for the way he approached and talked about Kemi Fakunle. Matthews and Talavera’s alliance, Gr8ful, received major backlash through the season as a whole for their treatment of the other houseguests.
Matthews finished in 11th place on the show, becoming the first member of the jury. Talavera followed him to the jury house shortly after, placing 9th.
Their relationship after the show
The couple did not last long at all after the show ended.
Matthews announced their breakup in a post on Instagram which read in part, “Sis and I have decided to take a break, no hard feelings, no bad blood but with absolute love in our hearts.” He also stated that they would “always be friends and partners forever.”
Could the former couple be on bad terms?
As noted by iClickTV, it seems that the couple, at least on one of their ends, is trying to clean up their Instagram profile. Talavera has deleted all photos with Matthews on her account, although Matthews still has some with Talavera on his page.
While this could be chalked up to simply not having an ex on your page anymore, it also seems that the two are no longer following each other.
So while it’s not confirmed that there could be some not-so-good lingering feelings between the two, it is plausible that once you’re in a Big Brother showmance, it is hard to go back to being just friends.
