‘Big Brother’: Tiffany Says She Was ‘Scared’ of Sarah Beth, and Reveals How That Changed in Jury
Some houseguests become friends on Big Brother while others target each other. Tiffany Mitchell was very focused on evicting Sarah Beth Steagall. She reveals the reason why and how their relationship changed.
Tiffany targeted Sarah Beth on ‘Big Brother 23’
Tiffany was part of The Cookout alliance and that meant she needed to target anyone outside of it. She eventually became really focused on evicting Sarah Beth after she made it known she was going after Hannah Chaddha.
Tiffany also went down a rabbit hole of making theories about Sarah Beth. She believed Sarah Beth and Kyland Young might be more than friends. She also questioned Sarah Beth’s sexuality and if her girlfriend was real.
Eventually, Tiffany won Head of Household (HOH). She put Kyland and Sarah Beth on the block. Claire Rehfuss took over her HOH and kept the nominations the same. Sarah Beth was evicted.
Tiffany says she was ‘scared’ of Sarah Beth, and reveals how that changed in jury
Fans noticed Tiffany and Sarah Beth looked a lot friendlier in videos from the jury house than the Big Brother house. Tiffany explained why she targeted Sarah Beth so hard in an interview with Parade.
“I fully respect Sarah Beth as a player in the game,” she said. “I was the most scared of her in the house, which was actually a compliment to her because she threatened my game more than anyone.”
She continued, “She’s a Leo like me, and I knew, if she ever got our eye on me, then I was going home. So I definitely wanted her out of the house. We weren’t the best of friends in the house, but we also were not enemies.”
So what changed between them after their evictions? “I realized that this girl really is sweet,” Tiffany later said. “She really is who she says she is. She opened up, and I welcomed that. I owed her apologies for however I may have made her feel or whatever would be revealed to her when she watches the show back. I genuinely do care about her.”
Sarah Beth said she was hurt by someone else in the house
Sarah Beth shared her reaction to her eviction in a jury segment. She revealed she was most hurt by Kyland once she figured out he was in a secret alliance.
“I completely respect that he chose not to tell me,” she said on the show. “He knows what type of player I am. I would have blown it up in a hot second if I thought it would save me.”
She continued, “I am struggling with all the lies he told me that were unnecessary. The conversations that we had that didn’t need to be had and the lies that he led me into. So it’s painful for me.”
Sarah Beth and Kyland didn’t get to reunite in the jury house. So only time will tell if they will be able to patch things up.
