When does ‘Big Sky’ Season 2 return in 2022?

‘Big Sky’ Season 2 Episode 9 midseason trailer explained
On Jan. 28, ABC released a new Big Sky Season 2 midseason trailer and teaser photos.
“Think about what you’ve done,” Wolf reprimands Ronald in the Big Sky Season 2 midseason trailer. “It’s all over the news. There are no more mulligans; no more do-overs. The only question now is why were you even there?”
Wolf is outraged that Ronald killed Cassie’s father after the dog trainer tried hard to reform the Ed Gein-like serial killer.
“You know why,” Ronald responds to Wolf as the Legarski brother locks Ronald away.
Then the Big Sky trailer switches to a scene viewers already saw. Cassie and Jenny attend Joseph Dewell’s funeral. Jenny volunteers her services to track down Casie’s father’s killer, and it’s evident both women are ready for revenge.
Later, the Big Sky preview flashes to the teens new to the series cast for season 2. Max (Madelyn Kientz) and Harper (Troy Leigh-Anne Johnson) are ready to confide in Jenny about the drugs and money. However, Ren doesn’t miss a beat. She calls Jenny to insist the cop return the missing money to its rightful owner (who she believes is her). Ren threatens an alternative of “missing limbs” if she doesn’t get the cash.
Meanwhile, in another rapid clip, viewers see that Dietrich (David Meunier) has Travis Stone (Logan Marshall-Green) in the bottom of a hole in the ground. Someone places a cloth over Max’s face, and then Wolf’s wife, Agatha (Romy Rosemont), insists that “everything is not fine.” Lastly, we watch Cassie and Mark Lindor (Omar Metwally) show up at the Wolfgang ranch in the dark, guns blazing. That can’t be good.
What to expect when ‘Big Sky’ Season 2 Episode 9 returns in 2022
In addition to dropping the Big Sky Season 2 Episode 9 trailer for “Trust Issues,” an ABC representative sent Showbiz Cheat Sheet a synopsis for the upcoming installment.
“Reeling from the emotional news of Joseph’s death, Jenny and Cassie desperately search for answers,” the email from the ABC representative read. “After Bridger and Madison receive a threatening call from Ren, Max and Rachel take matters into their own hands, frantically deciding to confide in Jenny about the drugs and money. Elsewhere, Dietrich becomes hellbent on revenge following his discovery of Travis’ betrayal, and Wolf and Agatha attempt to protect Phoebe, but thanks to Ronald, all does not go according to plan.”
According to the synopsis, Max’s mother, Rachel (T.V. Carpio), gets involved in the four teen’s predicament. From the Big Sky midseason preview, it also looks like Ren might arrange for Max’s kidnapping until Jenny turns over the money. Those might be the teen’s limbs that Ren refers to on the phone.
Big Sky Season 1 and the first eight episodes of season 2 are available for streaming on Hulu. According to ABC, Big Sky Season 2 returns on Feb. 24, 2022.
