In the next episode of Big Sky Season 2 Episode 3, the promo trailer for “You Have to Play Along” is intense. The executive producer Elwood Reid said it would be a “much darker season,” and he was not kidding. Janina Gavankar’s character, Ren, jumps right in, and it’s only a matter of time before she kills Tonya (Jamie-Lynn Sigler).

Can Cassie Dewell (Kylie Bunbury) and Jenny Hoyt (Katheryn Winnick) track down Ren and Donno (Ryan O’Nan) before they kill her? Plus, why are Jerrie Kennedy (Jesse James Keitel) and Denise Brisbane (Dedee Pfeiffer) discussing Wolfgang Legarski (John Carroll Lynch) anyway?

‘Big Sky’ Season 2 recap

There are only two episodes into Big Sky Season 2, and already a lot is going on in this remote area of Montana. A truck crashed, but the driver and passenger were missing. Four teenagers witnessed the crash and then watched Deputy Harvey (Michael Malarkey) shoot the surviving person. One of the teens, Bridger (Jeremy Ray Taylor), went to the police station to report what they saw, but he ran into the deputy and then left the station.

Meanwhile, Max (Madelyn Kientz) and Harper (Troy Leigh-Anne Johnson) agreed to sell the drugs they found at the accident. However, T-Lock (Arturo Del Puerto) caught Max with the drugs before getting a sample to Harper. The fourth teen, Madison (Lola Skye Reid), insists everything is fine, but the lurker, Creary (Ryan de Quintal), sits outside watching from his van.

Back at Wolfgang Legarski’s ranch, he teaches serial killer Ronald Pergman (Brian Geraghty) how to be a functioning member of society. However, he treats him like one of his dogs. Meanwhile, his wife, Agatha (Romy Rosemont), forces Scarlet (Anja Savcic) to garden with her.

Cassie and Jenny realize they are searching for the same man, Big Sam (Eric Weiss) — Tonya’s boyfriend. At the end of Big Sky Season 2 Episode 2, “Huckleberry,” they find Tonya missing. Ren and Donno hold her captive.

Meanwhile, Ren and Donno try to find out where Tonya’s boyfriend, Big Sam, hid the money and drugs. This crew doesn’t know that the four teens have both things they want in the next episode of Big Sky.

“Rick Legarski’s twin is a dog trainer?” Jerrie asks Denise.

At Wolfgang’s ranch, he finds Ronald digging a hole near a fence, presumably to escape. So, Wolf strikes the serial killer with a long stick.

Travis (Logan-Marshall Green) informs Jenny that the “cartel sent a cleaner” to the accident. Ren becomes angrier with Deputy Harvey. Plus, it looks like Tonya might escape because Donno chases someone.
