‘Big Sky’ will return on April 13

When we last saw a new episode of Big Sky, episode 9 premiered on February 16. Its return will take place on Tuesday, April 13 at 9 p.m. Both episodes 10 and 11 will air back to back, and they’re called “Catastrophic Thinking” and “All Kinds of Snakes.”

There will be a new situation the dynamic duo Jenny Hoyt (Katheryn Winnick) and Cassie Dewell (Kylie Bunbury) will be investigating surrounding a man from Jenny’s past, and his family will be center stage. However, the hunt for Ronald Pergman (Brian Geraghty) isn’t over yet either.

Here’s the official synopsis from ABC: “Three months after Ronald’s escape, Cassie and Jenny have officially partnered up to take down a fresh slew of troublemakers, but all isn’t coming up roses; Ronald is still on the loose, a domestic case takes a macabre and deadly turn, and a U.S. Marshall is sticking his nose in their case files. Right as the women of Dewell & Hoyt seem to be getting used to the new normal, Jenny gets an alarming call from an old flame; leading her and Cassie headfirst into a new case, a new jurisdiction, and a whole lot of new trouble. It’s time to meet the Kleinsassers.”

There is a new trailer for the upcoming return of the series. An image of Ronald driving in his truck can be seen. “We let Ronald get away,” Cassie says as the trailer starts.

“I know what he’s capable of,” Jerrie (Jesse James Keitel), someone Ronald once kidnapped, says. In the trailer, we get to see Ronald’s new look with longer auburn hair, a beanie, and glasses as he approaches a woman and touches her arm as she turns around and screams.

Jenny and Cassie are now working together again, as can be seen in parts of the video. “Drop your weapons,” Jenny says as she and Cassie enter a motel room with their firearms raised.

“Let’s just relax, OK?” a man named Raymond (Fletcher Donovan), with his gun drawn standing next to another man, says.

“Telling a woman to relax is never a good idea,” Jenny replies.

Jenny and Cassie work a new case

Jenny is going to visit someone she used to be romantically involved with named Blake Kleinsasser (Michael Raymond-James). “Tell us about that night,” Jenny says as she sits across from Blake with Cassie by her side in what looks like jail.

“They said I attacked her,” he says. “That’s not who I am.”

Jenny seems convinced of Blake’s innocence. She speaks with Cassie saying, “I’ve known Blake since we were kids. He didn’t do this. He could have been set up by his family.”

But it looks like the Kleinsasser family isn’t going to take things lying down. “We got to figure out what to do about them investigators,” one of the members of the Kleinsasser family says.

Then there’s a scene of Jenny speaking to Blake, who seems to be out of jail, saying, “You don’t know what my family’s capable of.”

Jenny’s going to go snooping around and end up getting chased by a member of the Kleinsasser family, Rand (Ryan Dorsey), with an ax. She falls, and the man says, “Don’t you look pretty.”

“Stay back,” Jenny warns.

“They will hurt you if you don’t quit,” Blake tries to explain to Jenny. But we all know how stubborn she can be by now.

There will also be a U.S. Marshall getting involved in the hunt for Ronald, so it looks like Jenny and Cassie might be teaming up with him to find Ronald and bring him to justice. “I’m a U.S. Marshall,” the man says. “I’m here about the Ronald Pergman case. We can get him, together.”

But that’s not all. Jerrie is working at Jenny and Cassie’s private investigator office, and she receives an anonymous phone call of someone breathing. “It’s him,” she says, talking about Ronald.

The last scene in the trailer is Cassie in the driver’s seat with Jenny at her side, and Ronald smashes the glass in from the window, grabbing Cassie by the throat.

It looks like the return of Big Sky is going to be explosive. We’ll have to see how it all plays out.
