The 2022 Billboard Music Awards, one of music‘s biggest award shows, will be held on May 15 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. On April 19, Billboard announced the first round of performers for the upcoming award show. Megan Thee Stallion, Burna Boy, Latto, Rauw Alejandro, and Red Hot Chili Peppers were all announced as performers for the 2022 BBMAs.

Megan Thee Stallion, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and more will perform at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards

Billboard announced the first round of performers for the 2022 BBMAs on April 19. More rounds of performers will be announced in the coming weeks.

The first round of performers at the 2022 BBMAs includes five acts:

  • Megan Thee Stallion
  • Burna Boy
  • Latto
  • Rauw Alejandro
  • Red Hot Chili Peppers

Fun facts about the first round of 2022 Billboard Music Awards performers

Going into the 2022 BBMAs, all of the announced performers have interesting facts about their upcoming performances.

Red Hot Chili Peppers last performed at the award show in 1999, making their upcoming 2022 BBMAs performance their first one in 23 years.

Megan Thee Stallion, Latto, Alejandro, and Burna Boy will all be making their debut as BBMAs performers at the upcoming award show.

According to a press release, Megan Thee Stallion’s performance is set “to be a dynamic production.”

Multiple of the announced performers are finalists for awards at the 2022 BBMAs. Latto and Megan Thee Stallion are both nominated for Top Rap Female Artist.

Alejandro is nominated for Top Latin Artist, Top Latin Male Artist, Top Latin Album for VICE VERSA, and Top Latin Song for “Todo De Ti.”
