They’re one of the biggest boy bands in the world, sometimes breaking YouTube records, always sending love to their fans, and now, making history at one of the biggest nights in the music industry. In 2019, BTS made history, as the first K-pop group to present an award at the Grammys.

“Growing up in South Korea, we always dreamt about standing on the Grammys stage,” RM said before presenting the award. “Thank you to all our fans for making this dream come true, and we’ll be back.”

The 2020 award ceremony proved to be even more monumental for BTS. Although it was initially reported that BTS would not perform at the Grammy’s, the boy band appeared alongside Lil Nas X, for his live performance of “Old Town Road.” (RM recorded a remix of the song with Lil Nas X earlier in 2019.)

This is the first time an artist from South Korea performed on the Grammy stage, which is kind of a big deal. Additionally, BTS recently became the first Korean act to receive RIAA Platinum Album Certification.
