It’s been over a year since Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes got together on Bachelor in Paradise, and fans across the nation are already wondering whether the couple got married or engaged. For the past few months, Miller-Keyes and Unglert have been teasing the status of their relationship on social media. Then on June 22, the BIP alums finally answered whether or not they tied the knot during The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever.
Why ‘The Bachelor’ fans think Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes are married
In February 2020, Miller-Keyes and Unglert started to tease the possibility of an engagement or marriage on Instagram. At the time, a fan commented on one of Miller-Keyes’ posts, “He needs to propose.” Then the former Miss North Carolina USA 2018 replied, “He already did.”
A few days later, another fan commented, “Get married!” And once again, Miller-Keyes hinted her relationship with Unglert has changed. “We already did,” she wrote. Then Unglert was spotted with a black ring on his ring finger.
As time went by, the BIP alums neither confirmed nor denied the marriage rumors and continued to play coy. But E! News reported Miller-Keyes and Unglert were not legally married, but they had a “commitment ceremony” while traveling together.

When Miller-Keyes and Unglert reunited with host Chris Harrison on The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever, the couple updated fans on their relationship status.
At first, the Bachelor in Paradise alums shared it’s been a year since they left the beach to be together. “It’s been great,” Miller-Keyes said. She then gushed over her travels with Unglert after ditching the ABC reality series. And while neither party got what they expected, both Unglert and Miller-Keyes are still smitten with each other.

Still speaking with Harrison on The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons Ever, Miller-Keyes and Unglert confirmed they’re not legally married. However, they have rings symbolizing their commitment to one another.
“In my opinion, I don’t need the title of ‘husband’ to show the world I’m committed to one person,” Unglert told Harrison. “So the fact that I’m wearing the ring is showing just that. I’m committed to Caelynn and only Caelynn. And that’s why I’ve worn it.”
He later added, “It’s not a traditional marriage or engagement ring. But it’s our little way of telling the world — or the people we’re around — that we’re committed to each other. I think it’s one of those comforting things where you can wake up in the morning and see your partner wearing that ring and be like, ‘OK, yes. They know that I’m committed to them’ and vice versa.”
Unglert also explained he has been wearing his ring for the past six months. Meanwhile, Miller-Keyes showed off her own commitment ring. “It’s just nice to know we’re in this strong, committed relationship without having to get the government involved, as Dean likes to say,” she said.
But if Miller-Keyes and Unglert ever decide to get legally married, they hinted Harrison could officiate the wedding. Nevertheless, it’s clear the reality stars are ready to continue their relationship, even if they don’t officially tie the knot.
“We’re unwavering, we’re in this for the long haul,” Unglert said. “There is no going back.”
