The summer of 2019 may be long over, but one couple from Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 still remains strong. Over the past few months, Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes have been showcasing their relationship through stunning photos on Instagram. And now, many Bachelor Nation fans think Unglert and Miller-Keyes are married or engaged. So what’s the deal? Recently, Unglert opened up about the situation with Miller-Keyes. But quite frankly, we’re even more confused.
Why Bachelor Nation fans think Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes are married or engaged
Relationships within the Bachelor bubble are typically on a fast-speed train to an engagement or marriage. So viewers constantly ask former contestants for proposal plans. But instead of giving straight answers, Unglert and Miller-Keyes have chosen to tease and troll fans about their relationship status.
In February 2020, Miller-Keyes left a comment on an Instagram post, further fueling marriage and engagement rumors. When a fan wrote that Unglert “needs to propose” on the social media platform, Miller Keyes responded, “He already did.”
Later, in a separate Instagram post, a fan told Miller-Keyes and Unglert to “get married.” Miller-Keyes replied, “We already did.” Then to add to the speculation, Unglert now has a black ring on his left hand.

In a promotional video for Kumail Nanjiani’s The Lovebirds film, Unglert discussed the possibility he got “secretly married” to Miller-Keyes. Bachelor Nation’s Jared Haibon and Ashley Iaconetti, who recently tied the knot themselves, teased Unglert, calling him a “married man.”
“He keeps saying that they got married when they were in Europe and he broke his leg,” Iaconetti said.
In the end, Unglert didn’t exactly confirm or deny anything. “I don’t understand why being married to my wife is a controversial thing but,” he said. “It’s more satire than anything.”
Then during the Help! I Suck at Dating podcast released on March 30, Haibon pressed Unglert on his relationship status with Miller-Keyes. At first, Unglert opened up about his black ring, which the former beauty queen gifted him.
Haibon also asked whether Miller-Keyes had a ring. But Unglert simply stated, “She wears a lot of rings.” He then confirmed Miller-Keyes wears one on her ring finger. But he wouldn’t clarify whether it had any significance.
Nevertheless, Haibon didn’t let the subject go. And basically, the Bachelor Nation alum spoke on behalf of fans everywhere. “Why are you guys playing it so coy?” Haibon said. “I get more questions about your marriage than I do about mine and nobody even knows if you’re married.”
Unglert answered. And once again, he only touched the surface. “Yeah, that’s weird,” Unglert said. “I wish I could answer that. But it’s not my place. It’s kind of Caelynn’s thing.”
So it looks like Haibon will just have to get Miller-Keyes on the podcast. But even so, Unglert and Miller-Keyes are “not legally married,” according to E! News in February. Instead, the pair had a “commitment ceremony.”
To be honest, we’re still curious about Unglert and Miller Keyes’ relationship. Unglert wasn’t able to confirm details about their official status. But it seems like the Bachelor in Paradise alums are in a good place, which is all we can really ask for.
