‘BIP’: Is Mike Johnson Flirting With Katie Morton on Instagram?
There’s a lot going on with Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor — and it’s hard to believe it’s almost over. While many viewers find Weber’s season much too dramatic and chaotic, we’re already looking forward to what the next season of Bachelor in Paradise has in store. And we’re hoping to see some of the women on Weber’s season join the Paradise cast in addition to familiar faces.
During the last season of Paradise, Katie Morton and Chris Bukowski got engaged. But the couple has since called it quits, though we know Morton wants a steady relationship and family in her future. It looks like fellow BIP star Mike Johnson may have noticed Morton’s single status, too, as he’s leaving sweet messages on Instagram posts that feature her. Here’s what he’s saying and how fans are responding.
Katie Morton and Chris Bukowski are no longer together after ‘Paradise’
There were quite a few couples to come out of the last season of Paradise, and Morton and Bukowski seemed extremely happy together. While they got engaged on the show, things seemed rocky between them on the reunion special. And after four months of engagement, the couple decided to call it quits in December 2019.
“We’ve reached a point in our story where we agree it’s best to go our separate ways,” the couple announced. “We have chosen to love and respect each other as friends because that’s the base of our relationship, and it’s what is most natural for us.”
Both Morton and Bukowski have seemed to move on gracefully. And Morton spent her time as a single woman traveling with fellow Paradise alum Demi Burnett. Bukowski did leave a flirty comment on Morton’s Instagram that had some fans scratching their heads, though.
“Comment your favorite place you’ve ever traveled to,” Morton captioned her February 2020 Instagram post.
To that, Bukowski answered, “Your apartment.”
Mike Johnson commented on Instagram photos of Morton
Despite the flirting, there’s no evidence that Morton and Bukowski are trying their relationship again. And it looks like Mike Johnson might be getting a little flirty with Morton on the ‘gram. Those who watched the last season of Paradise know Johnson didn’t find love on the beaches of Mexico. But it seems he finds Morton quite attractive.
Burnett posted a photo of her and Morton on Feb. 15. And to that, Johnson commented, “Eye color,” along with the signature Bachelor rose emojis.
Then, when Morton added the same photo of her and Burnett to her own Instagram, Johnson commented there as well. “Beautiful eyes all around,” he commented — and, of course, he added another rose.
Morton didn’t miss the opportunity to respond back to Johnson. She wrote, “thank youuu!”
Some fans love the idea of them getting together
We’re not sure if Johnson was just being kind to his fellow BIP castmembers or if his comments meant more. We know he’s already been caught leaving sweet messages on Burnett’s Instagram in the past. So perhaps he’s looking to make a move on Morton now that she’s single. Either way, it looks like Morton’s followers are in total support.
“I’m just here to say that you two would look great together,” one follower commented on Johnson’s comment.
Another wrote, “you & Katie would be amazing together just saying.”
“I was just going to say, they need to go on a date with each other!” Another added. “I think I’d like this pairing!”
It’s too early to say who we’ll see in Paradise. But there’s no doubt we’d love it if Morton and Johnson made this potential romance a reality. We’ll have to wait and see if they’re headed to the beaches of Mexico for summer 2020!
