Black Sabbath to Play ‘Final’ Show This Summer

Black Sabbath will headline a July 2025 music festival
Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath are performing together in Birmingham, England (via BBC). When? On July 5, 2025. Where? At a one-day festival titled Back To The Beginning at Villa Park. It will include performances by many bands they’ve inspired such as Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, and Anthrax.
The show will mark the first time in 20 years that Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward, Black Sabbath’s original members, have played together. Osbourne’s wife, Sharon Osbourne announced the concert at Villa Park on Feb. 5, 2025, alongside lommi.

Speaking to BBC News, Sharon shared that her husband wants one final Black Sabbath show. “Ozzy didn’t have a chance to say goodbye to his friends, to his fans,” she said. “And he feels there’s no been no full stop. This is his full stop.”
Osbourne, 76, has almost stopped touring completely due to Parkinson’s and spinal injuries but is said to be doing “great.”
“He’s doing great. He’s doing really great,” Sharon said. “He’s so excited about this, about being with the guys again and all his friends. It’ s exciting for everyone.”
“It’s my time to go Back to the Beginning…time for me to give back to the place where I was born,” the singer-songwriter said in the announcement, per Variety. “How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love. Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham Forever.”
Osbourne is expected to play a brief solo set before performing with Black Sabbath. Proceeds from the festival will go toward Cure Parkinson’s, the Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorn Children’s Hospice.
Tickets go on sale Feb. 14, 2025, at 3 p.m. EST on Live Nation.
