Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani Reportedly Want a Short Engagement
The exciting news that Blake Shelton proposed was revealed. Now there is the question of when he’ll get married to Gwen Stefani. Sources claim to know how long the couple plans to be engaged before getting married.

After years of engagement rumors, the couple announced they got engaged in October on Shelton’s ranch in Oklahoma. Stefani shared a picture of her kissing Shelton and holding up her hand to show an engagement on social media. She captioned it with, “. @blakeshelton yes please! gx.”
A source later told Entertainment Tonight, Shelton thought this time was right for them to take this step. “Blake has been the one who wanted to take it slow in the beginning but recently he decided it was time. During the pandemic, they’ve had lots of downtime together and he truly saw the importance of spending life with the person you love,” the insider said.
“Gwen takes marriage very seriously and was disappointed that her first marriage [to Gavin Rossdale] didn’t work out. She wasn’t in a hurry because she wanted to ensure Blake was ready,” the source continued.
Stefani reportedly waited for a “proper proposal” from the country singer. So it’s not surprising that when he did propose she said yes.
They don’t want a long engagement
Shelton and Stefani might have waited years before getting engaged. But sources claim they don’t want to wait much later to get married.
“This won’t be a long engagement,” a source told People. “There is a reason why Blake proposed now. They are both ready to get married.” Sizes of wedding ceremonies are important during the COVID-19 pandemic. The singers have an idea of what size they want their ceremony to be.
They “don’t want a huge wedding. They want their family and close friends to attend and that’s it,” according to the mysterious insider. The couple hasn’t talked about their wedding plans yet. Time will tell when and how they’ll decide to get married.
Stefani addressed a wedding rumor before the engagement
Stefani did interviews promoting the new season of The Voice. She was asked about the rumor she called off her wedding on Today.
“The good news is that we still like each other a lot. So that’s good. I don’t know. We’ll see what happens you know what I’m saying,” Stefani said. She dodged directly answering what’s happening with their wedding.
Carson Daly was there for the interview and later admitted he already knew they were engaged. He also addressed the rumors around their relationship. “Gosh, the stuff they write about you guys is unbelievable,” the host said.
That just shows you can’t always believe rumors. So who knows how long the couple will truly be engaged.
