‘Blue Bloods’: Did Danny Finally Get Closure After Linda’s Murder?
Linda Reagan (Amy Carlson) has been dead now for two years on Blue Bloods. However, Danny struggled
Danny arrested Linda’s murderer, Jose Rojas
At first, it seemed like Linda Reagan died in a helicopter accident. However,
Luis Delgado (Lou Diamond Phillips) later revealed that she was murdered because Danny and the DEA were investigating the drug cartel.
In the episode, “Common Enemies,” Danny and Delgado crossed paths again when Delgado’s wife is murdered. The criminal revealed that Jose Rojas (Danny Trejo) murdered his wife and that’s the same person who killed Linda. He decided that he now wants to work with Danny to bring him down.
“We both want Jose Rojas. He’s responsible for the murder of my wife and of yours,” Delgado told Danny when he was in police custody. “They call him ‘the clam’ because he never talks. No one who works for him talks either.” He decides to be the first.
They come up with the plan of Delgado going under cover to get Rojas. However, Rojas already
It’s still unknown what will happen at Jose Rojas trial
Danny and Delgado feel differently about Rojas being in police custody. Delgado wanted Danny to shoot the murderer, but Danny thinks that Rojas would have won if he murdered him.
“I hope that consoles you when you’re watching the trial and all his high-priced lawyers paint him as the victim,” Delgado told Danny. He responded with, “He’ll never get out of prison.” Delgado shot back, “You have a lot of faith in the system.”
It’s possible that money might lead to Rojas being back on the street. Then again criminals who go after the families of police officers don’t typically get to walk away. The episode ended on a very emotional note.
Danny finally took off his wedding ring
Season 9 has shown Danny struggling after Linda’s death. He’s not quite ready to think about dating and he still wears his wedding ring. This episode ended with Danny making a big change.
He ran into medium, Maggie Gibson (Callie Thorne) once again at the police station. After he arrested Rojas, he goes to her place to talk to her. She noticed that he still wears his wedding ring.
“You don’t get over it but you do get through it,” said Gibson. “And the only way to get through it is to stop focusing on what you don’t have and focus on what you do have.” She gave him a velvet bag for him to put his wedding ring in and the episode ends there.
It seems like now that Danny finally got the man responsible for Linda’s death he might have closure. We will have to wait and see what that means for his future.
