This week, Blue Bloods will focus on Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan) and her strained relationship with her new boss, Kimberly Crawford. Also, Danny and Baez learn that the serial killer who locked them in a basement is back. Here’s what to expect this week on Blue Bloods.

Erin’s drama with Kimberly Crawford began during Blue Bloods Season 11, Episode 2 (titled “In the Name of the Father”). When Kimberly won the district attorney spot, Erin had a hard time accepting the situation. She admitted to Anthony she was having difficulty being happy for Kimberly.

“How come I can’t find it in my heart to happy for her when I know I should?” Erin asks Anthony.

Before Kimberly took over as district attorney, she was the acting DA in Atlanta. Erin says she showed up unannounced to her office so she could get to know her better. “You know, in that ‘may the best woman win’ sort of way,” said Erin. Anthony said that was a “ballsy” move.

When Anthony asked Erin what she thought of Kimberly, she said, “I hate her.” She went on to say Kimberly was “a brilliant force to be reckoned with.” Erin knew she had a tough competition on her hands, and she was fearful about her chances of getting the top spot. Unfortunately, Erin didn’t get the promotion, and the position went to Kimberly.

Erin and Kimberly clashed not long ago. Kimberly thought Erin was trying to set her up when she pushed to have William Maloney remain in jail despite the judge’s recommendation to have him released based on new bail laws.

Kimberly said Erin was free to attend Maloney’s arraignment, but she gave her a stern warning. “Any blowback lands on you,” said Kimberly. Erin arranges a meeting with Maloney and his lawyer, but it doesn’t go as planned. His attorney later files a complaint against Erin, accusing her of trying to entrap her client.

When everything works out, Kimberly realizes Erin wasn’t trying to make her look bad. She’s just passionate about her job. “I’m glad Maloney is off the street, but we’re not bounty hunters, we’re attorneys,” says Kimberly. “Remember that.”

Kimberley shadows Erin at work

Kimberly still has her eye on Erin. During Blue Bloods Season 11, Episode 8 (titled “More Than Meets the Eye”), she shadows Erin at work. Erin is trying her best not to feel like she’s being overpowered. She’s also under a lot of stress because she’s trying to get an eyewitness to identify the person who shot her boyfriend.

Danny and Baez must deal with the serial killer who held them hostage

The serial killer who held Danny and Baez hostage is back. During season 11, episode 1 (titled “Triumph Over Trauma”), Danny and Baez were locked in a basement after they stopped by a home to ask questions. Little did they know, the killer was hiding in the house. Unfortunately, he suffocated the homeowner and she died three hours before a rescue was made.

During episode 8, it looks like the detectives will have to relive that dark day. Did the killer find another victim? Hopefully Danny and Baez aren’t next.

Blue Bloods airs Fridays on CBS at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
