Last season of Blue Bloods ended with Jamie (Will Estes) and Eddie (Vanessa Ray) getting married. It was a big moment, but most of the wedding wasn’t shown and fans were angry about it.

Selleck revealed why the wedding wasn’t shown. “The jeopardy in our show is a danger to the relationships,” he told Deadline.

The actor later said, “That’s why in this season’s finale, we don’t show the whole wedding ceremony. How are we going to beat Charles and Di splendor or pomp? So you need some sort of conflict or concern or something to make that kind of scene work like with Eddie and Frank or something else.”

The preview teased a few moments in this season. One is that Jamie carries Eddie over the threshold of their place. Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) and Maria (Marisa Ramierz) look like they’re back to being busy solving cases together. Erin (Bridget Moynahan) also is in a dangerous situation because she is seen holding a gun.

The new season will start with the show’s 200th episode. That’s a big milestone and it looks like there will be an addition to the family table for it.

Donnie Wahlberg previously shared a picture from the 200th episode family dinner scene

Wahlberg teased what’s to come this new season. He shared a picture of the cast filming the family dinner scene for the 200th episode.

He captioned the picture with, “Shooting Family Dinner Scene number 200 today on the set of @bluebloods_cbs! Hard to believe we’ve been doing this for 10 seasons! #Blessed #Thankful#BlueBloods200.”

Selleck, Estes, Moynahan, Sami Gayle, and Tony Terraciano are seen at the family table. The one surprising face is Williams who plays Lenny Ross.

Lenny was Frank’s first partner. We usually get to learn more about the police commissioner through Lenny. It looks like the Reagans will also learn more with his upcoming visit.

Treat Williams said the family isn’t used to Lenny

The actor teased what his upcoming appearance will reveal. His character is up to his old tricks and goes to family dinner.

“I was very honored that I was invited to the family dinner,” Williams told TV Insider. “No outsider had ever had dinner with the family.”

He said that this will throw the family off. “I don’t think they’re used to somebody being Frank’s equal, being comfortable with Frank to call him nicknames and to give him a hug and to kiss him on a cheek,” explained Williams.

He went on to talk about their similarities. “He’s this mountain of a powerful guy, and then you have a guy who put his life on the line with this guy for 15 years.”

Fans will have to see how that plays out. Blue Bloods Season 10 premieres on Sept. 27 on CBS at 10/9 CDT.
