Bob Saget Death: Lori Loughlin Calls Her ‘Full House’ Co-Star ‘My Family’
Lori Loughlin is mourning the death of her Full House co-star Bob Saget. The 65-year-old comedian was found dead on Sunday, Jan. 9 in a Florida hotel room. In a statement, Loughlin said she was “devastated” and thanked the comedian for “a lifetime of wonderful memories.”

Loughlin reflected on Saget’s death in a statement she shared with TVLine.
“Words cannot begin to express how devastated I am,” the actor said. “Bob was more than my friend; he was my family. I will miss his kind heart and quick wit. Thank you for a lifetime of wonderful memories and laughter. I love you, Bobby.”
Saget and Loughlin both starred in Full House, which ran for eight seasons from 1987 to 1995. They also appeared in the Netflix revival Fuller House, which premiered in 2016 and lasted five seasons.
Saget played Danny Tanner, the widowed father of three young daughters, DJ (Candace Cameron Bure), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), and Michelle (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen). Loughlin played Becky Donaldson, Danny’s co-host on the morning TV program Wake Up, San Francisco. She eventually married Danny’s brother-in-law Jesse (John Stamos)
Candace Cameron Bure, John Stamos react to Bob Saget’s death
Several of Saget’s other Full House co-stars took to social media to remember him after his sudden death.
“I am broken,” Stamos tweeted. “I am gutted. I am in complete and utter shock.” The actor added: “I will never ever have another friend like him.”
“My heart is broken. I love you, Bob. Your forever brother, Dave,” tweeted Dave Coulier, who played Danny’s best friend and his daughters’ “Uncle Joey” on Full House.
Cameron Bure tweeted that Saget “was one of the best human beings I’ve ever known in my life.”
“I love you sooooo much,” she added in a follow-up tweet. “I don’t want to say goodbye. 35 years wasn’t long enough.”
In addition to those who worked with him on Full House, many other celebrities took to social media to remember Saget, who was also well-known for his standup as well as his work on America’s Funniest Home Videos, The Aristocrats, and How I Met Your Mother. In a tweet, Billy Crystal called him “one of the funniest and sweetest people I have ever known.”
“I have always and will always love Bob Saget,” tweeted The Office’s BJ Novak.
Saget thanked an ‘appreciative audience’ in his last tweet
Saget was on tour at the time of his death and had performed a set near Jacksonville, Fla. on Saturday night. In his final tweet, he thanked that show’s audience and mentioned his love of performing.
Loved tonight’s show @PV_ConcertHall in Jacksonville. Appreciative audience,” he wrote. “Thanks again to @RealTimWilkins for opening. I had no idea I did a 2 hr set tonight. I’m happily addicted again to this sh*t.”
No cause of death has been announced. However, in a tweet, the Orange County Sheriff’s office said detectives found no sign of foul play or drug use when they responded to a call about an unresponsive man in a room at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes.
Saget is survived by his wife Kelly Rizzo and three daughters from a previous marriage. In a statement, his family said they were “devastated” by his death.
“He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together with laughter,” the family said, according to The New York Times.
