‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Actor Jacqueline MacInnes Wood Just Welcomed Her Second Child

Though pregnancies can often pull their favorite characters away from the show, the babies bring an influx of adorable Instagram posts — as Jacqueline MacInnes Wood is already proving with child number two.

CBS’s The Bold and the Beautiful wouldn’t be the same without the work of Canadian actor Jacqueline MacInnes Wood. Though she had made brief appearances on shows like Castle and Arrow, her role as Steffy Forrester on the soap would become one of her most memorable.
B&B has been on the air since 1987, beginning as a sister show of The Young & The Restless, which has an even longer history. Though MacInnes Wood didn’t join the cast until 2008, her 13 years on the screen have continued to garner high ratings and viewership. According to TV Series Finale, the show was still drawing over three million watchers over week … despite being over thirty-three years into the storyline.
At its core, the series follows the wealthy Forrester family, documenting the scandals, betrayal, and star-crossed romance that always seems to accompany great power. For over a decade, MacInnes Wood has been a central part of the family. Still, over the years, she has taken some time off to start one of her own, and her most recent pregnancy was written into the script. Steffy is indeed pregnant again.

Unlike her on-screen persona, MacInnes Wood’s love life has been sweet and simple. She met her husband, Elan Ruspoli, through a mutual friend. Although MacInnes Wood said that she didn’t feel ready for a relationship at the time, the pair’s chemistry was too undeniable to give up on. It wasn’t long before the star took to Instagram to let her followers know that the actor was now her fiancé. They secretly eloped in 2018, keeping what was an undoubtedly beautiful ceremony out of the public eye. Fortunately for fans, the couple has since been very open about every cute date, big step, and even new additions!

After her first child, MacInnes Wood set the bar pretty high for pregnancy announcements. According to Entertainment Tonight, the star let her cast mates know the big news during a scene that required her to wear very little clothes. She proclaimed, “I just wanna let you all know: your girl is pregnant!” Obviously, baby number two had to be given just as much fanfare.
Although she was already very clearly pregnant, MacInnes Wood was still able to surprise fans with a pregnancy announcement. As Soaps in Depth recaps, she posted an Instagram video in which she sported a blue and pink outfit, as well as a mountain of wigs. She discarded the hairpieces one by one, eventually revealing the final one as blue! People Magazine has since announced the healthy birth of the boy, who the family has named Lenix.
