Star Wars fans have had no shortage of content since The Book of Boba Fett premiered on Disney+. However, those missing The Mandalorian were in for a treat during “Chapter 5: Return of the Mandalorian.” The installment set up a reunion between Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) in The Book of Boba Fett Episode 6. When does the next installment arrive?

[Warning: This article contains spoilers for The Book of Boba Fett Episode 5.]

The Mandalorian returns in ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ Episode 5

As the installment’s title suggests, the Mandalorian returns during The Book of Boba Fett Episode 5. In fact, the entirety of this week’s story centers on Pedro Pascal’s character. Meanwhile, Boba Fett is nowhere to be found.

“Chapter 5: Return of the Mandalorian” opens with Din Djarin hunting a bounty for information. The first few moments of the episode show him fighting with the Darksaber he won during The Mandalorian Season 2. If nothing else, that development sets the stage for an exciting 40 minutes of content.

The rest of Chapter 5 sees Din coping with his newfound hold over the Darksaber and his separation from Grogu. He goes to see the Armorer (Emily Swallow), who explains the significance of the weapon.

Din is later forced to defend his claim to it by fighting Paz Vizsla (Tait Fletcher). And although he wins that battle, he winds up banished from his people. The Armorer isn’t pleased to learn he removed his helmet during The Mandalorian Season 2. She informs him the only path to redemption is cleansing himself in the caves of Mandalore. Unfortunately, they were destroyed when the Imperial invasion occurred.

This leaves Din looking for his ship and his next move, bringing him to Tatooine. There, he reconnects with Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen), who requests his help fighting the Pyke Syndicate. And despite the offer of payment, Mando agrees to the job free of charge.

With a reunion between Mando and Boba Fett on the horizon, it’s no surprise Star Wars fans are eager to watch The Book of Boba Fett Episode 6 — so, what’s the release date for the next chapter?

New episodes of the Star Wars series drop every Wednesday on Disney+, showing up around 12 a.m. PST. Thanks to CNET, we have the full list of release dates for the show:

  • Episode 1: Dec. 29, 2021
  • Episode 2: Jan. 5, 2022
  • Episode 3: Jan. 12, 2022
  • Episode 4: Jan. 19, 2022
  • Episode 5: Jan. 26, 2022
  • Episode 6: Feb. 2, 2022
  • Episode 7: Feb. 9, 2022

With just two episodes left, Din Djarin’s arrival may herald the big showdown between Boba Fett and the Pyke Syndicate. Temuera Morrison’s character is still in a sticky situation, even with the support of his bounty-hunting friend. Hopefully, the two will find a way for him to come out on top.

With any luck, the final two installments will also prove more fast-paced and action-packed than the rest of the series. Boba’s bid for the throne has unraveled slowly, but things seem headed in the right direction approaching the last two chapters of season 1.

‘Star Wars’ fans may see several reunions when episode 6 hits Disney+

In addition to a reunion between Boba Fett and Din Djarin, what else can fans expect when The Book of Boba Fett Episode 6 comes out on Disney+?

Episode 5 may have teased a separate reunion, with Din telling Fennec he had a quick errand to run before joining up with her and Boba. Considering he had the Armorer craft a gift for Grogu, it seems he’s headed to see the Foundling first. It’s unclear if the Star Wars series will show the two meet up, but viewers are hopeful for a glimpse of Baby Yoda.

Outside of that, Lucasfilm has yet to release a preview or synopsis for the next episode. Fans will have to wait for more details. Fortunately, Boba and Din’s adventure is just a week away. And their reunion could very well set up The Mandalorian Season 3.

The first five episodes of The Book of Boba Fett are currently streaming on Disney+.
