While many celebrities are working to distance themselves from the events that allegedly took place at Sean “Diddy” Combs’ parties, Bow Wow has publicly spoken about missing them. The rapper said he attended many of Diddy’s events. He explained why going without them has felt strange for him.

Bow Wow said he misses Diddy’s parties

Bow Wow has attended many of Diddy’s parties and said the loss of them feels quite significant to him.

“I never thought I would see it like this,” he said on the More to the Story podcast (via Billboard). “He’s like the gatekeeper to the game, to the point to where BET Award weekend, like the past two, it just didn’t feel right because there was no motion, there was no parties.”

He saw Diddy as a major figure in hip-hop. Because of this, he believes Diddy’s arrest has left a hole in the community.

“It’s like a hole,” he said. “He was just such a gatekeeper for the liquor and the clubs. He was everything hip-hop. So for that to die out, you just really never thought. Especially when you look at somebody as somebody you studied, somebody you idolized.”

Bow Wow once said he was disappointed in Diddy

In 2023, however, Bow Wow said he wasn’t thrilled with Diddy due to his short-lived romance with Joie Chavis. Chavis is the mother of Bow Wow’s oldest child.

“Me and her, we had our discussion about it, trust me,” he said on The Baller Alert Show (via Vibe Magazine). “Me and dude, we definitely had our rep, but I’ll keep that between us. We handled it the way we was supposed to handle it. There’s a conduct and code men go by and everyone knows certain things are off limits. Wives and baby mamas is just some s*** that, you know, you steer clear from.”

Evidently, Bow Wow has let go of the anger he felt toward Diddy.

50 Cent speculated about why many celebrities haven’t spoken about Diddy’s parties

Bow Wow is one of the few people who has talked about missing Diddy’s parties. Many other celebrities have either tried to distance themselves or have avoided discussing the matter altogether. 50 Cent, who said he never liked Diddy’s parties, shared why he thinks people are afraid to talk about the events.

“Some of them were involved, at the parties and enjoyed themselves, so they don’t know what the f*** is on tape or what’s not on tape, so they’re not going to say anything because they might have had too much fun,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “And then you’ve got other people who look and go, ‘Well, that’s not my business and I don’t want to be in it.’”
