Song and Culkin welcomed their first child together, a baby boy, on April 6. The 33-year-old had not announced her pregnancy. Therefore, fans had no idea that the duo was even expecting. The couple released a statement saying, “We’re overjoyed.” They’ve also given their baby boy an extra special name.
Dakota Song Culkin is named for the Party Monster actor’s late sister, Dakota Culkin, who tragically died in 2008 after being struck by a car. Though the duo did not announce that they were expecting, Culkin did hint at trying for a family when Esquire Magazine interviewed him in 2020.
“We practice a lot,” he joked. “We’re figuring it out, making the timing work. Because nothing turns you on more than when your lady comes into the room and says, “Honey, I’m ovulating.”

He knows who he is, and he’s 100 percent okay with that. And that to me is an incredibly sexy quality. He’s worked really hard to be the person he is.”
Culkin is equally smitten. “I was waiting for the other shoe to drop,” the 40-year-old actor explained the anxiety he felt when they first began dating. Luckily, that feeling of doom has long since vanished. He added, “No—sometimes it’s just good.”

The couple met in 2017 on the set of Changeland in Thailand. However, since they have been fairly private about their romance, the world did not find out that they were an item until July of that year when they were spotted together grabbing together in LA.
In August 2020, Song also shared a loving message for Culkin on his 40th birthday. “Happy 40th birthday to this magical being,” she wrote on Instagram “I could sit here and write endlessly about how wonderful, kind, loving, genuine, loyal, honest, brilliant, and hilarious you are, and how grateful I am that I get to share and do this life thing with you.”
