Megan Fox’s inner circle was allegedly concerned that her divorce from Machine Gun Kelly would lead her back to the same painful spot. But it seems that her ex-husband, Brian Austin Green, is also concerned with how Kelly’s behavior will affect the mother of his children. So much so that Green uncharacteristically offered some harsh words of advice to the artist.

Despite Green and Fox’s divorce, the Beverly Hills 90210 alum was saddened to hear about his ex-wife’s break-up with Kelly. The pair announced their separation over Thanksgiving weekend, a split that reportedly left Fox distraught. However, Green heard the story from a news outlet the same way most of the world did. Green expressed further disappointment when he was told about rumors of Kelly’s affair, which allegedly caused his break-up with Fox.

“How old is he? Do you know? He’s in his 30s. Nice … In your 30s, like — I don’t know. Grow up. She’s pregnant,” Green told TMZ.

Green would lash out at Kelly again on Instagram. According to People, Green urged Kelly to be honest in a social media post that he’s since deleted. The comment was in response to Kelly’s own social media post hinting at how he saw the break-up. But Green didn’t appreciate Kelly’s perspective, and let the “Wild Boy” rapper know it.

“That’s not something that I normally do, but it just really at the time, really got under my skin to read about his sort of take on it,” he said.

Kelly didn’t respond, which Green expected. Still, Kelly didn’t need to react to Green’s remark for the latter to feel embarrassed about it. The Smallville actor reassured that was the last time he’d share his feelings on the matter.

“So I spoke my mind, but then I’ve since come to terms with the fact that I won’t do that anymore. I’m going to shut up and just sit back,” Green said.

Green and Fox had been a part of each other’s lives since they met on the set of Hope & Faith in 2004. They later started dating that same year, and although their relationship experienced brief turbulence, the pair would marry each other in 2010. Their relationship fizzled out in 2020, where Green and Fox had a heartbreaking epiphany about their marriage. Fox discussed her relationship with Green after coming home from filming Midnight to Switchgrass, where she met Kelly.

“She said, ‘I realized when I was out of the country working alone that I feel more like myself and I liked myself better during that experience and I think that might be something worth trying for me,'” Green recalled in an interview with CNN. “I was shocked and I was upset about it but I can’t be upset at her because she didn’t ask to feel that way. It wasn’t a choice she made, that’s the way she honestly felt. We talked about it a little more and said let’s separate for a bit … and so we did.”

Green would eventually move on with his current wife Sharna Burgess, who he met the old-school way. Meanwhile, Fox started her very high-profile relationship with Kelly. Back then, Green didn’t seem to know too much about Kelly to have an opinion on him. What little he did know about the rapper was from his wife.

“I’ve never met him , but Megan and I have talked about him. They’re friends at this point,” Green once commented on his …With Brian Austin Green podcast. “From what she’s expressed, he’s just a really nice, genuine guy.”
