Megan Fox felt his Instagram post painted her in a negative light

When Green posted a photo of himself and their 4-year-old son wearing costumes on Instagram, Fox called out her ex in the comments. He later deleted the photo.

“Why does Journey have to be in this picture?” Fox wrote. “It’s not hard to crop them out. Or choose photos that they aren’t in. I had a great Halloween with them yesterday, and yet notice how absent they are from my social media.”

She continued, “I know you love your kids. But I don’t know why you can’t stop using them to posture via social media.”

Fox wasn’t happy with the way Green seemed to be making a negative statement about her. “You’re so intoxicated with feeding the pervasive narrative that I’m an absent mother, and you are the perennial, eternally dedicated dad of the year,” she wrote. “You have them half of the time. Congratulations you truly are a remarkable human! Why do you need the internet to echo back to you what should be inexhaustibly evident in the way your children love you?”

Fox and Green have three children together: Journey, Bodhi, 6, and Noah, 8.

Vanessa Marcil seemed to support Megan Fox

Fox received a vote of support from Green’s ex-fiancee Vanessa Marcil, who posted a cryptic message on Instagram: “Like I said… The Truth always comes out in the end…” and included the hashtag #ImWithYouSister.

Green and Marcil have an 18-year-old son together.

Some fans took sides over Fox’s comment on Green’s Halloween photo. One fan pointed out that people need to pay closer attention to what Fox is saying about the situation.

“You guys didn’t listen to what Megan said at all,” they wrote. “She’s not mad that Journey was in the picture. She’s mad because you guys see Brian post the kids and she doesn’t so you guys think she’s an absent mother when she’s not. Stop trying to shame Megan for standing up for herself. Y’all love to do that to her.”

When rumors of Green and Fox breaking up swirled earlier this year, Green took to his podcast to confirm that the gossip was true and they had separated.

“We had an amazing relationship and I will always love her and I know she will always love me. And I know as far as a family, what we built is really cool. It’s really special,” Green said at the time. “We decided, ‘Let’s make sure we don’t lose that.'”

He continued, “It sucks when life changes and something that you’re used to, that you’ve been doing for 15 years, you try and not get rid of but you change.”

“At the end of it all, she’s been my best friend for 15 years, you know? And I don’t want to lose that,” he added.
