‘Bridgerton’ Star Phoebe Dyneover Just Admitted This About Her Relationship with Co-Star Regé-Jean Page
Weeks after its initial premiere, Netflix‘s Bridgerton remains the talk of the internet. As the show continues to garner buzz as each day goes on, fans were also super interested in the cast members and their personal lives. Many people have wondered if the lead stars, Phoebe Dynevor and Regé-Jean Page, are together in real-life like their on-screen counterparts are on the show. Though both have denied the rumors, Dynevor recently said something about her relationship with Page in a recent interview.
All about ‘Bridgerton’
The series, which is the first show at Netflix from Shondaland, is created by Chris Van Dusen. It follows Daphne Bridgerton (Dynevor), the oldest daughter in the Bridgerton family as she makes her debut onto Regency London’s competitive marriage market.
She and Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings (Page), come up with a scheme in order to be tied together on the market. However, the scheme becomes more than that when they actually fall in love with each other and things get increasingly more complicated.
Led by Dynevor and Page, the series also stars Golda Rosheuvel, Jonathan Bailey, Luke Newton, Claudia Jessie, Nicola Coughlan, Ruby Barker, Sabrina Bartlett, Ruth Gemmell, Adjoa Andoh, Polly Walker, Bessie Carter and Harriet Cains and Julie Andrews as the voice of Lady Whistledown.
If the show gets a season 2, it will likely follow Quinn’s original book series and would center on Anthony (Bailey), the eldest Bridgerton.
What Phoebe Dynevor says about her relationship with Regé-Jean Page
In a recent interview with The Guardian, Dynevor was asked about her relationship with her co-star.
“It was a big moment in both of our lives in a lot of ways, and we were both quite nervous about it,” she said of their time filming the show. We spent so much time rehearsing together that we’ve become good mates.”
Though Page is living in Los Angeles at the moment and she’s still in the United Kingdom, she says that they are communicating. “Unfortunately now he’s off in Los Angeles, but we check in with each other a lot,” she added.
Prior to this, both Page and Dynevor denied rumors that they were dating each other. “I think everything you need to know is on camera. That’s why we presented it so beautifully for you,” said Page during an interview they did on Access Hollywood. “All the sparks that flew off of the beautiful scripts that we were handed, and so I think that the sparky scripted material are more than enough.”
Dynevor also told Harper’s Bazaar that they grew to feel comfortable witth each other especially after working with the show’s intimacy coordinator. “So, we blocked and rehearsed all the intimacy scenes weeks and weeks before we started to do things. By the time we got to set, we knew what we were doing. We felt really comfortable. We knew each other, we’d already formed that relationship. We were very lucky to have all that time.”
Bridgerton season 1 is currently streaming on Netflix. While it hasn’t officially been renewed for season 2, a new season is essentially expected at the streaming giant.
